Liked it here. Didn't love it. Not enough here to love it. It needs to build more of a sense of community, and if it increases selectivity the student body will become more serious and able, which Manhattanville needs as well.

Smaller class size and the castle.

The school has a beautiful quad and a castle where many of the administrative offices are located. There are many international students and student organizations that promote diversity. The school is in Purchase, NY and is 35 minutes away from New York City. Many students go home for the weekends and holidays and the school is empty during such days. Although the food becomes monotonous after a while, the selection is impressive with vegan, Latin, Asian, and Middle Eastern cuisine as well as pizza and burgers. The library is open 24 hours during the school year. The school is small.

Francesca

The absolute dedication of the professors

Laura

It is very small so classes tend to be small allowing professors to get to know you on a personal level. Access to faculty is very easy given the size of the campus.

What i loved most about this school when I first visited was that the class sizes were small and the professors are very friendly and helpful outside of class. People are helpful and you can meet new people everyday and you can learn something new everyday. I was looking for a program that allows students to get a great history education that can take me to places I have never been and see things that I have never seen.

Marisa

we have a castle.

Jenna

The small size. I only considered it because it was close to home and I got financial aid.

I feel my school is unique in that the classes are actually small. I went to another college in New Jersey when I first started thinking about schools. The school claimed that it only had 15-20 students in each class. When I went to observe an education class, there were over 40 people in the classroom. I asked one of the students after they left whether or not this was typical. His response was that this was his smallest class. Here, our classes are actually only 15-20 students. If we do have larger classes, it's uncommon.
