Students at Mville are from everywhere so it is very hard to describe a typical mville student. the school is very international so students are very aware of different cultures belief's etc., and even though all students may not agree on certain issues the respect is there. students are very active in every aspect of the global community. Whether it be politics, aid for other countries or just educating student about different issues there are always dicussions and debates hosted by students.
Our campus is also diverse in the sense that we have students that are of different races, religions as well as LGBT. I think that no student would feel too out of place here because we have so many students from many different backgrounds. In freshman year, everyone interacts with everyone. But once you gain a certain group of friends (who could be from a different place than them), they usually stick with that group of people til senior year (Not to say you don't make friends with other people on the way). I suppose many of the students dress comfortably;everyone has their own style.
We were a diverse and happy bunch of people.
As a transfer student coming to Manhattanville I was really nervous and excited at the same time. I use to attend the University of Bridgeport where professors were more leanint therefore students slacked in many areas but at Manhattanville the professors are a reflection of the work the students put in. They are very focused and motivated everyone cares and wants to do well.
Very friendly for the most part, even the jocks. Some a-holes and bitches here and there, but good kids for the most part. Also, all different personality types are on campus. The cool sorority girl type to the artsy alternative type, from the jocks to the kids lacking social skills, and everything in between. All socioeconomic backgrounds are present, but most are from working or middle class families, and some of the rich kids are really stupid or disabled. Students are not politically savvy, though I would venture to guess most are liberal and are open-minded. All ethnicities and relgious backgrounds are present here, and you can be gay or lesbian and feel accepted no problem.
My classmates are very accepting of who everyone is, no matter who you are or what you believe in there's a place or ayone.
I would describe my classmates as very responsive to the courses. Even when they do not understand they present their opinions very well in regards to the work.
My classmates at Manhattanville college are all very mature and well educated individual, that do not disturb the classroom or anyone in it.
One word. Diverse.
My classmates are thriving to become professionals just as I am and help each other along the way.
The people that go to this school are from all over the world, as soon as you find a "group" that you have fun with, they are interesting, smart, funny, cultural and driven.
Rude.
Uninspired, unimaginitive, overconfident in their talent, and not very nice.
Connected
A lot of them are my friends, and I intend on continuing my friendships with them even after the day of graduation.
Very relaxed.
They are amazing and down to earth.
They all seem to know what the teacher is talking about and always input their ideas.
My classmates and I are a diverse set of students with a common interest of learning.
