The campus is small but also very beautiful and serene. I love living on campus and college life overall. The independence Mansfield gives me being 3 1/2 hours from home is nice but also because I no longer get homesick now that Mansfield is my home away from home. The food is actually really good and they have many vegetarian options for me.
I believe that it is a very nice school if you like small classes and direct help. The professors will do what they can to make sure you are successful. Overall, it is a great learning environment. I encourage people to consider Mansfield University in the future.
I love Mansfield so much and plan on spending the rest of my years here until I graduate.
I absolutely love Mansfield University. The environment is so welcoming, everyone are so friendly. You never really have to worry about people being jerks as everyone mostly keeps to themselves, or they are very friendly. The staff is absolutely amazing! They are so active with their students. Mansfield is an amazing college and I would recommend them to anyone any day.

Out of my college experience, I've learned how to adapt. Not only to the intense weather, but to the ever changing moods and personalities this university has within. Before coming to college I already knew I had the skills to succeed, and coming here has helped me build and solidify all of them. I believe this is, in part, due to the faculty. I'm a music education major, so I'm around all of the faculty on a regular basis. I've gotten to be very close with some professors; some of whom have become like fathers to me. The faculty-student relationship is one of respect, admiration, and companionship which is something that I'll take away and cherish from this university forever.
For me personally is becuase since i grew up close to here i just feel like have havne't got out in the world enough and that i just kinda settled here and Mansfield doesn't offer to me what i want in terms of experiencing other things.
The best thing about Mansfield University is that the professors will help you with anything you need help with. The class sizes are also a good thing. Besides the very helpful faculty and the class sizes there is nothing else.
Someone who wants a city atmosphere shouldnt come here. Mansfield is a rural PA town, with a walmart, half the town is dead or businesses are closing. If you want a school that is VERY diverse, dont come here.
My classmates at Mansfield University are a diverse group. I attend the RN to BSN on-line program. Most of my classmates are fellow adult learners that work full time and have children. Some of my classmates are young adults attending Mansfield university right out of high school. We are all self-motivators that utilize the convenience of on-line learning.
My school is a small school with alot of activites and trips focused of developing tomorrow's leaders and helping students reach thier goals.
The food. Sometimes it is hard to find good food or what you really want to eat on campus. But most times the meal you want is accessible.
Mansfield University is best know for their incredible music programs
The small size means you get a ton of individual attention. Your departments get to know you personally as well as professtionally.
I brag most abou the music department at my school. As a music major at the school, I recieve a first-hand experience in the excellence of the elite music department at Mansfield University. Both bands and choirs are world renound for the excellence of the music they give to the community and have proved so at numerous competitions. For instance, the Concert Choir and small-group Mansfieldians competed in the 2008 World Choir Games and came home with 6 gold medals. Not bad for a small town school :)
Before coming o this school I wish I would have been better equipped to be away from my faimly. All of my family lives 2 hours away from the school and living on camous away from them can be stressful and lonely at times.
The type of person who should attend this school is someone who is looking for a college where they are not just a number in their classes. If you want to be able to have your professor personally know you, and if you like small classrooms then Mansfield is a perfect school for them.
