When applying for college, I found that Mansfield University's marching band was invited to the Summer Olympics in London. Since I have always been in marching band, I decided to join Mansfield University in order to go to London. Also, Mansfield University has less than 3,000 students so it is a small campus with small class sizes, which I really appreciate.

Mansfield University is located in a small town that is close to my hometown. Its campus is hilly and well-maintained. Through mansfield, I was able to start college while I was still in high school. They worked with my schedule and explained the mysteries of college to me.

Mansfield University has a nice small International population. Considering that only 1{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of MU's student body goes abroad, the international students that they do bring to the campus is really nice. It's a really nice group of kids, who are open minded and wanting to learn from others.

Mansfield University if well known for their music, education, and health science programs. I decided to go here because of their fantastic health science program and I could not be more satisfied with this program. I also love how small the campus is because the teachers are able to interact with the students one on one whenever they have a question.

Mansfield is very small. The atmosphere is nothing like a city and everyone is very friendly and easy to get along with.

The small size means you get a ton of individual attention. Your departments get to know you personally as well as professtionally.

This in a Small campus but has as many opportunites at a Large University. Because of its rural setting it's a rather safe area.

Mansfield University's history as a state teacher's school contributes to the atmosphere and expectations of this university. The Education Department continues to offer top notch instruction, preparation, and guidance. Mansfield University's Education department has a repuation of excellence that puts it's graduates one step ahead of their competition in the job market. The surrounding area offers the small, inviting, hometown atmosphere that not only creates an optimal learning environment, but also promotes the development of lifelong friendships that students will take with them when they graduate.

Somthing unique about my school is the student population grows very slowly and there are not that many students here. At Mansfield, you are consider a person with a name, not a number like at Penn State. I feel like am part of a big community here. Faculty remember my face and my name. They even like to start a conversations with students.

My school is set in a very rural area of PA, about 30 miles from the NY border, 50 miles from the closests mall and 4 hours from Philly. What i noticed first was more of the diversity. School seems to be recruiting students form the Philly area, which i love, esp as another student of color, wishing & hoping for more diversity. The programs that the university offers are excellent in the sense that it really keys into local area jobs that can help the local keep its pride.
