The worst thing about my school is perhaps the cost of tuition.
There is no where to go to get away if you do not have a car.
The only thing that I don't like about Marquette is the professors that I have had who don't seem to care a lot about teaching. Marquette professors are very focused on research and many times seem to be more focused on research than teaching students. I think that it is important that the students feel like the professors like to teach and in some instances this is not the case. When students feel like teachers don't want to teach them, then students don't want to learn.
Diversity and expenses.
There is a lack of diversity at this school.
There could be a more diverse student population
The worst thing is probably the location in a bad part of Milwaukee.
It's not a super diverse university so we miss out on the interaction with a large group of culturally diverse peers.
The lack of diversity. The students are unfriendly and uninterested in making any friends outside of people they already know.
not enough room in the library during finals week
Probably the lack of diversity - while there is a Global Village and exchange students, there is not as much diversity on campus (with students or faculty).
The fact that it's in the city makes it a little scary to walk around at night.
Location of campus inside a higher than average crime rate.
The amount work that needs to be done for each class and how little time there is to finish it and the amount the tuition is for the amount of value we recieve from it.
the winter.
Really cold in the winters, but seriously it is in the city so sometimes it might be a little too much for people who arent used to a city
The worst thing about Marquette is that most students drink on or around campus, and not much disciplenary action is taken. However, there are many activities that Marquette puts on for students to provide another outlet for students who do not drink. Also, the food in the cafeteria is not the best. Plus, some of them close by 6:30, so you have to eat dinner earlier, which is weird.
It's easy to burn out on students here who are far too enthusiastic about attending Marquette.
the dorms for the most part aren't the greatest (with some major exceptions) and the cost of the school is a bit expensive but worthwhile
Unfortunately, we do live in a city so crime rates tend to be higher than the average school. Luckily, we're at a university that cares about the welfare of its students and if problems persist, they are quick to take action. We have one of the top-rated saftey programs in the nation. If you're smart about the way you go around campus and the city, you'll be fine.
The cold winters and sometimes overbearing work load.
