So far. I have been on two visits to Maryville College. On the first visit, I wasn't too sure of the facilities and the campus and college "life". However, by the second visit, I felt extremely welcomed by the soccer players and coaches as well as the teachers. It immediately felt like home to me. Everyone was saying high and the mod felt so warm. I'm excited to possibly pursue an education at Maryville College.

Maryville College is an amazing school with very accessible professors and tutors. While the academics are challenging, students have access to several different methods of help and are not left to defend for themselves. The food on campus is good, but can get old after a while. The students are all very kind and accepting. The overall community is very supportive of all different activities and groups. The school is involved in D3 athletics, however, the students and faculty are all very supportive of the teams playing. The overall feel of Maryville College is amazing and a wonderful place to call home for four years!

I think overall it is a good College. I like that Maryville College is only 15 minutes away from the smoky mountains. I also really enjoy the small community that the College has. Another thin I like is that the campus isn’t to big so it is easy to get around.

Kaelyn - 06/13/2019

Overall, I really enjoy Maryville. It has its downs like bad food and other things we wish the college would change...but what school doesn't have them. What I like about it though, it the class sizes are really small (the maximum is like 50), which provides professors and students to actually develop a relationship rather than just being a number. The college also is really good with providing academic support and prides itself on its sustainability, which I really appreciate. I don't at all regret coming here.

Maryville College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Maryville College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Maryville College is 57%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

The advice I would give to myself would be to stay calm. Nothing is worth getting worked up over, whether it be a test or a big game. It is importatnt to keep your composure because when you do that your mind will stay clear and you can accomplish more. Also to learn how to study correctly. This is also important because even though you may not need to study in high school, you will need to in college and it is important to learn that skill. Stay organized. If you stay organized and keep things in order, you will be able to accomplish assignments and such on time. Also, if you stay organized and something comes up to where you will have to miss class, you will be prepared. Have fun. Don't let the stress of exams and grades weigh you down. It is important to remeber why your in college but it is also important to let lose sometimes and enjoy your college life. That being said stay responsible while you're having fun. Keep these words with you and you will be successful!

  3. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

Facilities are the worst thing because most of them are very old and haven't been renovated. However, a new gym floor has been made and most dorms are being well kept. There is also a 13 million dollar arts center in construction, but we're only going to be able to use it for a year.
