McDaniel is truly a beautiful place. The hill is no joke and I suggest that you bring a jacket. The bedrooms are double dorm styles that come with a minifridge, a dresser, a study desk, and a full bed. The showers aren't too private, yet they are very clean.
I absolutely love McDaniel. It is an older school, so that can have its drawbacks, but it is rich with tradition. The environment of this campus is so friendly. everyone is here to help and make friends. We can be competitive, but we are still kind and polite to our peers. Professors are almost always available and they are always want to help you succeed. Most professors love their job and are doing it not for the money, but for the students. Sports are a very big part of campus. Our football games are always a big deal and women's soccer is very competitive. Overall, I love this place and would not have chosen any where else. It is definitely my home away from home.
I feel as it is a great school to foster my intellectual juices and create a good environment for ideas to circulate and for me to find my self. I am very excited to be going there this fall and am looking forward to living in the friendly atmosphere I experienced shortly on my visit.
McDaniel is a unique experience to each and every individual. The education that I have received is extremely personal and I have become close to my professors, which is something that I would not have received had I gone to a large state school. I feel like I am more than just a number and my life has changed for the better thanks to McDaniel. They have impacted my life in so many positive ways and for that I am truly thankful.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for McDaniel College is 78%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would go back and tell myself that no amount of research can prepare me for the transition. For that reason, I would also tell myself to dismount off my high horse that I was sitting on; just because I'm going to school only an hour away does not mean that it would make the transition easier. Be prepared to rely solely on yourself and become your own motivator, coach and teacher. There's no one you can physically turn to and seek solace in but that that builds self strength and integrity.
there is little to no diversity and very little interaction between different races of students
I brag about all of the great friends i have made and the interesting courses and opportunity McDaniel has to offer me!
Someone who is used to really big schools...McDaniel is a small school so you know basically everyone
Awesome, geeky, fun, spontaneous, wonderful.
New student orientation: allowsfirst years/transfers to meet people before upperclassmen arrive. It makes students feel at home and welcome.
McDaniel is a small quant college that has a different but still great experience for everyone.
We have a good science department, and really good art teachers. We have great study abroad programs and many different cultures on one campus.
The lack of transportation into Baltimore and other nearby cities and the lack of diversity.
It was too small and the community was isolated.
Anyone who thrives on challenge, innovation, and continually searches to expand intelect, common goals, charity, bettering the community or sense of self.
It had a small student body and a good student/teacher ratio.
