McKendree is known for being the oldest college in the state of Illinois, as well as being one of the top 100 best online programs in the nation. Students who graduate from here are know to have one of the lowest debts for college.

McKendree is best known for their friendly, home-like atmosphere. Because it is a smaller insitution, the students at McKendree have multiple chances to connect with each other and form bonds. Due to smaller class sizes, professors are able to have more one on one time with students and are readily available to help you in any way they can. The campus is extremely clean and helps you feel right at home.

Since I am an off-campus student and have never attended classes on the actual campus, I am not really sure how to answer this question. Having a cousin that played sports for McKendree I will say that the football team is one of the things it is best known for.

I have mainly heard about he school of education and the sports at McKendree. Majority of the students are McKendree are here in relation to sports. Also, it is a private school, so it is known to be more expensive, but there are more financial aid options then at most private schools.

Good educational programs

McKendree Univeristy has many majors that are outstanding. But the main one that makes McKendree known is the Education Majors. The teachers that are on staff here at McK with the Education program are phenomenal and are award-winning teachers with the way they love their jobs and their students. Not just the teachers, but the Education Advisors. Educaiton Majors have all the right tools to succeed in life, and that is how McKendree gets it's fame.

Although I am a new to McKendree University, their AIM program is by far the best feaure of the college. This program has made it possible for me to complete my four year degree while working full-time and raising my two sons. The flexibility and mix of on-line and classroom instruction ensures me that I will learn the material, thus be able to graduate with my four year degree.

They offer small classroom sizes, thus allowing for more personal instruction. This advantage is key to retention of information and a sense of belonging on the campus.

For being a sports campus, most students play a sport. Acadmically the education and business programs are out-standing.

Mckendree College is considered the oldest college in the state of Illinois. After arriving on campus, the students are immerse in history dating back from the old catholic chapel sturdily sitting on a slanted hill to the cobble streets leading into town with 1800 architectural buildings bordering the streets. Sometimes when I'm driving downtown I feel as if I've entered into a western film.

I believe my school is best known for student-athletes.

My school is perhaps best known for its small size, but enormous foundation in the liberal arts. McKendree University takes great pains to ensure that each student experiences an expansive curriculum. We are required to take many courses that encourage considering others' views, such as religion and sociology. This practice ensures that we are as well-rounded as possible, despite our individual disciplines. McKendree University prides itself on its role in instilling lifelong learning, academic excellence, and involvement in the community.

Honestly, I'm not sure. Many people know that we have a strong education program and a strong psychology program. We also have an amazing basketball coach and a pretty good football team. Our debate and bowling teams are very good as well. People also often refer to the beauty of our campus. I'm not sure whether or not McKendree is known for it but one of the things I admire most about this school is the support of the Alumni. They play a very important role here.

My shcool is best known for its job placement after graduation.

Best known for the opportunity to get your degree without puttinga financial bind on yourself. They offer night classes and you only have to take one class at a time because they are held for one month at a time.
