What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
During the whole process of getting ready for college by choosing where you want to go and what scholarships you would apply for became very stressful. Starting out with research very early is always a lot of help especially if you start your junior year of high school. When dealing with money stick to a budget and make sure you always have enough rest to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Procrastination is always an easy habit to fall into. Saving things until last minute is not going to help the work load on yourself in the end, so just stick to spacing out the work you do before deadlines can take off some stress. The final part of transitioning is to make sure you take time for yourself. Don?t overwhelm yourself with homework all hours of the day, and set time apart to hang out with friends.

How awesome the scholarships are because they give almost everyone one and no matter how your doing at Medaille you keep it because that scholarship is based on what you did in high school not at college so they never take it away from you, even if you fail.

The best thing about Medaille College is the Veterinary Technology program that I am enrolled in. The program is filled with deciated teachers and a well developed hands on experience. The veterinary technology provides a solid backround for your boards and allows for continuing education classes to keep bettering yourself. The program allows for the professors to gain a proffesional relationship for each and every student. The hands on experience of working with animals is essential for the field and being able to do that the first week of class is one that is very rewarding.

I really tried to like it here. I turned down chances to transfer but it's still been a big disappointment. If there were less snobs and corruption here, this could be a real gem in Buffalo. Sadly, we're just stagnating because the school refuses to make any sort of move that won't save or earn them money.

Medaille is not a college that willingly or openly excludes anybody from the institution. However, there may be some people that may feel uncomfortable on campus. Such people would be thsoe who are not very open-minded or are unwilling to be accepting of others different from them as Medaille is a very diverse campus. People of all races, ethnicities, religions, political viewpoints, sexual orientation, and genders are always visible on campus and this may make some people feel uncomfortable.
Also people who are seeking a liberal arts degree might be better suited for a community college due to finances.

Medaille College is a school that cares about all of its students.
Read all 3 answers What is your overall opinion of this school?
Medaille's strengths are that it's a small campus and there are a number of caring people on campus. Unfortunately it's in a rut. The administration is very out of touch with students and do more harm than good at times. Campus morale is pretty low, and the activities/clubs offered are usually pretty low-quality. The food is not that great and information technology is a joke.

The social life is pretty much non-existent here. The big event every week is clubbing downtown. The clubs here are very weak. The newspaper and Student Government are the biggest clubs here, but they are total jokes. The dorm events are pretty much arts and crafts or chick flick movie nights. Everyone just sits in their dorms every night it seems.

The classes are usually small in size so it's not hard to meet people. Medaille regularly boasts about the faculty who are teachers first and teach most of the classes...this is partially true. What they don't mention is that most of the teachers for the gen ed/foundational courses are part-time adjuncts who aren't always qualified to teach, nor are available outside of class. Furthermore, there are plenty of professors here who would rather research and publish and will sometimes bully their students into doing it for them as part of a grade. Thankfully, there are a lot of high-quality professors here.

Thankfully, no. Most of of the students here are of the traditional college age. Nor do we play with shadow puppets, nor do we walk around with blue words scribbled on our foreheads.
