personly i think that merced college is nice for what merced is it could have more shops or more sitting areas during the summer its pretty empty but other than that its pact and can even be hard to get classes seeing that senior and freshmen have superiority over classes
I have attended about 2 semesters at Merced College, and I was extremely fond of my teachers, the way they taught their students, and the attitude they had towards trying to motivate the unmotivated. To all the newbies...The students are very welcoming and helpful all you have to do is ask! (they don't bite). I am very excited for next semester to start. Can't wait to meet new teachers and peers, gain some knowledge and get to MERCED COLLEGE!! One more thing, I LOVE the veterans resource center. They are very informative and it's a really helpful place if your a veteran, dependent, or surviving spouse of a service member.
I loved my experience here and the professors were amazing. From math all the way down to my major. All of them were there for me and took the time to help and push me forward to my excellence. As my first college it helped pave the way for my future and give me the skills I need to succeed in any academic atmosphere.
Merced college's academic's are excellent. The professors are easy to get a hold of and they encourage students to contact them if they have questions. Merced college is small and all buildings are easy to locate and they are aren't far from one another. The on-campus living is non-existent so the best way to get to campus is by driving or by walking from the nearby apartments. As someone who doesn't have a car, I walk from my apartment to campus everyday. The walk is only about 15 minutes and its quick to get used to. Class sizes are just about the same size as a high school classroom. However, if your looking for a college deep into sports, then I recommend you go somewhere else. Merced college's football team isn't the biggest attention grabber on campus and the students don't really talk much about it. As for safety, Merced College has its own police force on campus. You can call for help in an emergency situation clicking on these posts with a button on it. These posts are designed to summon the police to your location in time of emergencies, which I believe is extremely convenient. Overall, Merced college is a great start for students who wish to get their general education out of the way and then transfer to a UC or a CSU.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Merced College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
If I could trace back time and talk myself into collecting informations about college life, I would advice myself to enroll in K-12 progam where high school student gets opportunity to take some college course that would help me making a step closer to accomplishing my goals in education. Such as getting my AA degree in General education, transfering to University of Pacific and becoming a pharmacy tech. Because back then, during my high school years, I was nevered told that such program existed. Now I, myself motivate my siblings too into taking the opportunity to advance in their education.
Best choice I could have made for a Junior College
Someone who is committed to education, and doesn't mind the kind of city location they would be in. Merced isn't a big city, but it's not a town either - it doesn't have a whole lot to offer for people who want to 'party' as so many college students are seen as when they go to community colleges. It's a good college, and the professors I have had experience with are good. As long as you do what's required of you, you should get by.
I would have to say the best thing about my school is that Merced College gives students the freedom to speak their mental and physical state of mind and provides many open opportunities for students to get involve with. Such as community services, jobs, advisors, therapy, and etc... The freedom to speak from a students physical or mental state of mind gives the greatest opportunity because it gives not only students access to hear important statements of others; their free will grasb onto their professor.
Dedicated students who are willing to help when asked, fun students who are also easy to get along with.
Merced College is best know for their sucessful students and teachers.
The academics are wonderful! They each provide understanding and learning experiences that I think every student/ to-be student should attend and enjoy.
Our school needs teachers so that the school can offer more classes to the students.
My school is unque is that the college would try their best to keep all tuitions and book cost low where to you don't have to do a loan unlike other colleges their tuitions and book cost three times much more than Merced College therefore those students(the ones that goes to other colleges besides Merced College) have to do more extra loan. Loaning more would increase the students chance of becoming more heavily in debt. The college allows multiculture to gather around together to make a big difference in their education by allowing students to speak their opinions.
The STEM group is high in activity because it involves all science, technology, engineering and mathematics students. The favorite amongst other students is the geology club, the geography club, the drama club and the art club.
My best thing that happened tome at school is that I able to study and have a degree to study a career. Also, be able to learn new thing that I see in school and make the right decisions for me.
I wish I would have known what type of classes I needed to take so that my freshman year could have been easier.
Our schools teachers are dedicated in helping the students achieve their personal goals.
