Before coming to this school I wish I had known more about the places in and around campus so I would be better prepared for what is available.

I wish I had known my roommate before coming to school my freshman year.

Before coming to Mercer I wish I had known more about the large Greek influence. I knew that there were a number of sororities and fraternities but I did not realize how large of a role they played on campus. Although I have considered going greek, I cannot afford the costly dues, however, you do not need to be in a sorority or fraternity in order to be friends with 'greeks'. My boyfriend is greek and so is my roommate. Sometimes I do, however, feel left out of "greek only" activities.

I wish I knew Math better. Having a C+ average in Math is not good, but now that I am attending Savannah Technical College, In the Industrial System Technology course, I'm seeing a lot more Math. I wish I was better equipped (fianancially) to handle the woes of going to College.

I wish I had known how much diferrent college was than high school. Mercer University is a difficult school and the classes are nothing compared to my high school classes. It would have been great for me to know that Mercer's workload was close that of an ivy league school. Another thing that would have been useful to know is an effective way of studying.

That the academic workload would be so overwhelming. There is hardly a time for a social life.

Before I came to Mercer University, I wish I had known that it would be so hard to get financial aid as a college freshman for my sophmore year. It was easier to receive scholarships when I was still a highschool senior, but now it seems as if there's no financial aid left for me. Plus, Mercer, being a private school, has a very expensive tutition which is hard for my single-parent family income to afford.

How to use my advisors more for information.

I wish I had known that tuition would go up every year.

Mercer raises tuition every year without telling you ahead of time and aquiring scholarships after starting college is incredibly difficult.

I wish I had known that the social life here is very divided between groups of people. It can sometimes feel like the cafeteria from the movie Mean Girls.

There is nothing that I wish I had known before I got here because everything was basically explained and outlined in every aspect by all the professors and the school.

That the school seems a whole lot smaller than the numbers show. Also, the people here are in general not very friendly.
