Meredith College Top Questions

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Roxanne

The most frustrating thing about my school is the cost. Tuition went up nearly $2000 for next year and it is leaving me with the struggle to come up with the money to come back next year and get the education that I deserve.

Ivory

I love my school, don't get me wrong, but...the tuition is VERY high! it's a little over $35,000 -- WAY too high for me to afford, but I do not want to transfer. I want to stay here for the rest of my college years. It's just that I am worried about how I am going to be able to pay for my monthly tuition payments. I didn't get to receive private students because my parents have horrible credit and I do not yet have any credit and my Fafsa doesnt completely cover my expenses.

Katherine

I feel that some professors feel like we only have their class and the work load is very strenuous with some classes. Sometimes the work load is so overwhelming that you can't be the best in your other classes because the work load is so much in some classes.

Kaitlyn

The drama between all the girls that go here.

Malorie

I don't find anything bad at Meredith College.

Cori

The most frusterating thing about Meredith is the size of the workout area. I love the classes here and all the people, but the workout gym is tiny. I feel like it gets too crowded and there are not enough machines to workout on.

Alexandria

What I find the most frusterating is th price of Meredith College. Tuition has gone up by $2,000 from the $30,000 tuituon payment of freshman year. Students also have to pay for a lot of supplies on top of all this money. A lot of girls do come from families that can afford this, but not every can afford this bill. I think there should be more financial aid and scholarships available.

Jordan

The cliques! It's very hard to make friends unless you come from a conservative, upper class family. You must have everything monogrammed, pink and green. You must spend lots of money that you get from your mommy/daddy's credit card. You can still make great friends, but if you don't have anything from the above list, you automatically limit yourself to 80{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the population!!!!

Libby

The most frustrating aspect about my school is that there are many fees to pay; some without any warning.

Katelin

The most frustrating thing about my school is the money issue. Many of the girls that go here are very privilaged. I was not so fortunate to have a very wealthy family, so I can not afford to buy the things that these girls covet. It is hard for me to afford all of the traditional student t-shirts and spirit packs that we have for my schools activites. Also, many of the girls do not understand how to manage money, so it is hard for me to connect with them on a mature level.

Holley

This is a women's college, so many of the other girls there are catty and mean. Trying to focus and not be drawn into that, or be scapegoated against, is hard.

Kimberley

There are not alot of activities on the weekend and there is not good transportation.

phuong

self- motivation

Katie

Temperature/Climate setting in some of the buildings, including the dorms.

Shonta

The cost of tuition is too expensive. Also how much things cost too participate and get involved.

Whitney

The most frustrating thing is that I am not receiving enough money to continue to go here and not getting any help with the money problem.

Mayah

The most frustrating thing about my school is not having enough money provided in the finantial aid package. I have to come out of pocket to make ends meet. There is no scholarship money for minority students. That would help me plenty.

Brianna

The most frusterating thing about my school is that the dorm rooms are not as great as they could be.
