I wish that someone could have provided me with honest information about the quality and type of professors as well as the campus style and the many useful tools or lack of tools that would be easy or difficult to access so I could better determine how this school would fit into my schedule as a full-time student with a part-time job.

I wish I would have known how college mixes both fun and responsibility. Yes, you have work to do but its all fun at the same time. This is the time of my life and I can't wait to continue with my education.

That most of the evening higher science classes are limited at the Red Mountain campus. I will now have to travel to the main campus which is about 15 to 20 miles away and during rush-hour traffic will take me considerably longer to get there. For most people this may not be a problem but I work a full-time job so I will have to leave early to get to class on time having to make up the lost work time during "studying" time.

I thought going to college ment simply going to class, getting a degree, then finding a job (with a few parties thrown in, of course). I quickly learned that it is much deeper than that. College gives you the opportunity to learn not only classroom academics, but also life skills that I don't think I would have learned otherwise. I have learned the importance of networking within my field as well as getting to know people in other fields. Also, how to market myself and navigate the workforce- socializing has proved to be just as important as studying.

Laura

College is about throwing yourself outside of your comfort zone. Don't be afraid to do just that. Talk to people you don't know. Join clubs and activities you otherwise wouldn't have tried.

Mya

Chris

I wish I had known that I could have been attending Mesa Community College for the same thing that I was attending an expensive private college for.

Heather

Coming from a high school in a very conservative small town near Grand Rapids, Michigan, I was met with a definite culture shock. There is such a diverse student body, and although that isn't necessarily a bad thing, it was a little rough on me.

kiasha

That my biggest obstacle at school would be myself.

Michael

I wish i had known what my major was going to be before i enrolled. Knowing what your career goals are makes enrolling for classes much easier and will save one a lot of time and money because classes for one degree will not be used or count for another.
