I will never forget the first day of spring my freshman year. I was walking home from my last class and it was absolutely beautiful outside; the sun was shining, the temperature was perfect, and everyone was outside. Everything seemed to be perfect. People were outside doing homework or just talking or eating and there was a spring festival going on that is held every year and set up on Cook Field. This includes games, rides, and free stuff! At the same time that this was going on, some of the greek community put on an awesome "King of the Wing" contest in our central quad... it was a BW3's wing eating contest! The day was so fun and so beautiful!
There actually is one day on campus that sticks out like a sore thumb for me--in the best way possible, of course. And that would have to be the day that I saw George Clooney and Ryan Gosling. Oh. Oh, yes, during the filming of The Ides of March (great movie, by the way, and not just because it's all in Ohio), I was lucky enough to be in the same vicinity as these two lovely and talented actors. Despite the fact that, yeah, okay, it was literally a two-second glimpse, it's still something I will never forget. How many college students can say that George Clooney and Ryan Gosling filmed at their school--and that they saw them? (Let's ignore the other schools that they filmed at, okay?) It was so unique and one day that will stick with me for, eh, probably the rest of my life.
I was sitting on the library one day in April, I think, working on some homework. All of a sudden, someone dressed up as Pacman comes running by, followed by someone dressed up as the blue ghost. They later came running by again. It was great.
