The hardest thing for me was the transition from a high school workload to a college one. In high school, class was every day, often with some down time. I used that time to work on homework or read. In college, there is no down time in class. Professors go the full time, sometimes going over a minute or two. Most classes end up being every other day, so my homework schedule seemed off - I had two nights to work on an assignment. Second semester was much better because I was getting used to the atmosphere and how college worked. Each year seems to get better, so if you struggle first year, don't get discouraged! Use the school's resources; they're there to help! And you can always talk to upperclassmen. We're living proof that you'll make it through. :)
