Michigan State is stereotyped as a party school. This notoriety I think is somewhat aged, its nowhere like it used to be. The police presence here is rampant and students tend to balance their studies more now.
They like to party and get wasted. They do not care about their grades and fail out of school.
A huge stereotype is that we are just a party school
Some sterotypes about MSU and MSU students is that its totally okay to skip class.
Some stereotypes of MSU students are: 1.) We drink a lot and party non-stop 2.) We are just a bunch of hicks 3.) We ALL hate U of M students 4.) All of our sports programs suck except for basketball 5.) We riot all the time for no particular reason

MSU is a big party school and the only people that go there were rejected by UofM and all of the classes are really easy so you don't have to go to class
MSU is the little sibling of the University of Michigan, if you don't go there, you go to MSU. The students are not very smart and they care a lot about what they look like. Most students graduate in 5 years.
We're all farmers, lol. We're not as smart or qualified as those who went to the University of Michigan All who attend are just settling because they didn't get into U of M.

MSU is normally seen as a "party" school and academics are not always thought as the focus. As a former education major, graduate and undergraduate, I know why MSU is known as #1 in education programs in the nation.

We're generally all alcoholics who barely get by in school because we party too much. All we do is cause riots and burn couches.
Probably the biggest would be that it's super easy to get into State, but they recently have upped their admission requirements. Also, that absolutely EVERYONE party's is another stereotype. But, it is somewhat of a true one. The thing is it's reasonable partying mostly for people, like waiting for the weekends and stuff. But YOU HAVE TO WORK hard. No joke.
