Michigan State is stereotyped as a party school. This notoriety I think is somewhat aged, its nowhere like it used to be. The police presence here is rampant and students tend to balance their studies more now.
They like to party and get wasted. They do not care about their grades and fail out of school.
A huge stereotype is that we are just a party school
Some sterotypes about MSU and MSU students is that its totally okay to skip class.
Some stereotypes of MSU students are:
1.) We drink a lot and party non-stop
2.) We are just a bunch of hicks
3.) We ALL hate U of M students
4.) All of our sports programs suck except for basketball
5.) We riot all the time for no particular reason
That its filled with kids who did not get into UofM. And that mostly everyone who goes here is from hicksville michigan.
People say that MSU is a drinking/partying college. I've also heard that it's where kids that couldn't get into UofM go.
-that all we do is party
-that we are dumber than UofM kids
-that we have prettier girls than most schools
MSU is a big party school and the only people that go there were rejected by UofM and all of the classes are really easy so you don't have to go to class
MSU is the little sibling of the University of Michigan, if you don't go there, you go to MSU.
The students are not very smart and they care a lot about what they look like. Most students graduate in 5 years.
We're all farmers, lol.
We're not as smart or qualified as those who went to the University of Michigan
All who attend are just settling because they didn't get into U of M.
Everyone that goes to MSU is a partier.
Crazy drinking, party school, and RIOTS.
that we are all a bunch of binge drinkers and that is all we do
That the girls are loose and the guys are always drunk.
That most MSU students party throughout the week. Most MSU students do drugs and have alcohol
we party. a lot.
Huge partiers, always rioting, all party no study
Students are not friendly and love to party and have a good time.
Many people assume that everyone is a member of the Greek System at MSU. People also seem to think that riots occur every other weekend and that no one studies.
That we love to party and party often.
They drink a lot. They riot. They're cool.
MSU students aren't as smart as U of M students.
MSU students didn't get into U of M.
MSU is just a party school.
Riots have broken out in the past. A few dumb kids led people to believe that MSU is nothing but a party school with a drinking problem.
MSU students are mostly the students arrested in riots. Most students drink and party a lot.
That MSU students are all just partiers who are most interested in having fun outside of school
Party too much
Stereotypically MSU students are all about partying and drinking.
MSU is normally seen as a "party" school and academics are not always thought as the focus. As a former education major, graduate and undergraduate, I know why MSU is known as #1 in education programs in the nation.
MSU Student Stereotypes:
Only here because they couldn't get into Michigan
They just want to party
They aren't interested in academics
MSU isn't a great teaching institution
They accept everybody
Just a party school
That we all wanted to go to U of M but couldn't get it.
That we are all farmers
lots of partying, athletics are really importent
MSU is a party school, you only to go MSU if you didn't get into U of M; there really are not many stereotypes about MSU that I have heard
It's only a party school.
It's mostly international students.
The professors are easy.
That all we are is a party school and all we like to do it riot.
That MSU students party too much
MSU is a party school.
Lots of wealthy, smart kids. Also huge party scene and lots of sorority type girls and frat boys.
That everyone likes to party and riot.
We are a HUGE party school. We take cake classes, and most of the students go here, because they couldn't get into University of Michigan.
Not sure about stereotypes. I know that the school when it first began was an agricultural school so sometimes its associated with farming.
We party too much, It is below U of M
We're generally all alcoholics who barely get by in school because we party too much.
All we do is cause riots and burn couches.
Probably the biggest would be that it's super easy to get into State, but they recently have upped their admission requirements. Also, that absolutely EVERYONE party's is another stereotype. But, it is somewhat of a true one. The thing is it's reasonable partying mostly for people, like waiting for the weekends and stuff. But YOU HAVE TO WORK hard. No joke.
Partiers and not as smart as students from U of M.
Tons of drinking and partying.
All we ever do is party, riot, and make fools out of ourselves at football games.
That all we do is party and not work hard.
That our campus is so large, we spend all our time walking to and from classes.
