Mid America Christian University is a very small and sheltered campus. The environment is very specific to a certain crowd. It is a perfect place for an education or ministry major, but people who are looking for a large on campus life scene will not find it at MACU. You have to attend chapel twice a week and take many religiously affiliated courses to fulfill major requirements. MACU is a place that I did not personally find to be the place for me because it was very small and not much going on on campus, but if you are looking for a small christian private school with small classes and a relaxed environment Mid America is the place for you.
I am currently a student at MACU and I am 3 weeks away from obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. I attend college online and I have been so blessed and pleased with everything MACU has taught me. I am now enrolling in the Graduate program and will continue on at MACU to earn my Master's degree. My commitment in wanting to continue my education with MACU speaks volumes.
It is a small school where everyone knows everyone. The professors also know you and are very accessible. Most students at the school are either there for sports or the spiritual aspect. If you aren't spiritual, it might not be the school for you. There are many different activities and I overall enjoy this school, although I have had a few issues with the business office and them trying to make me pay more than I needed.
I think that Mid-America Christian University is a great place to go to school. The faculty and staff care about every individual and their growth. The academics are great and the professors are always there to help. We have so many opportunities on this campus to get involved and to support each other. It's extremely safe and has small class sizes. Overall this is an amazing university that I am proud to attend.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Mid-America Christian University is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I wish that I could go back and discuss the future with past Nathan. First thing I'd say to myself is to stay focuse and not let the trouble of life get me down or sidetrack me. Next, I'd tell myself to get myself orginized. I've alway haad an orginized chaos about me. It is so important to get things straight so you know when and where things are do in college. I was not good at this during my first attemp at my post high school career. Also, I would let myself know how important it is to set aside a time to do study and complete homework. This has been one of the most important things in my suceess. Lastly, I would have to let my past me know that I need to get a support group. Whether it be friends or family it doesn't matter I just need to surround myself with people that will lift me and encourge me to be a sucess in life and not just live for the now.
The staff does not really work well with you or other students. They are not very organized and tend to pass you around when something goes wrong. There are also a lot of people who work there who are family so when one messes up the family member is there to cover for them.
The majority of students enrolled at Mid-America are planning to take up a career in the ministry so most students are bible scholars. The second largest majority of students would be a tie between the Teachers Education students and the Business majors.
Mid America Christian University is best known for being one of the top thriving Christian Universities with core values in the heart of Oklahoma.MACU is committed to the preparation of students as whole persons. Through programs and events, students are encouraged to develop and refine their abilities in making responsible choices in all aspects of their lives based on Christian principles and philosophies.
This school works very well for the working adult.
The most frustrating thing is that, even though small class sizes can be beneficial and helpful for one on one instruction more often, the campus can be too small at times. I love the personal environment that we have, but it can grow wearisome when all you hear is from the same people. That is one aspect I wish we had more of is a diversity of people and more of them.
I am currently attending online, my school is very much like my living room.
It is very Christian oriented. It allows for an Adult Studies program where they have off site classes who communicate and go to class from another site and use ITV classes. They also have online classes.
They are well grounded in Christian ethics and real world application of subject matter. The research resources available for study are phenomenal.
Bible study and basketball
Small classes allow for better student/teacher ratio . You're not just a body filling in a desk. The teachers actually care about weather you're there or not.
Honestly, reflecting on my time spent at the school, I can't say that I wished I would have known anything else. I have AMAZING admissions counselors there at the school, along with academic advisors, which really helps because they are willing to answer any question in the book that i have. They are still there for me and I felt as though the information and direction I began when I started has not been lacking up to this point.
One who is not interested in learning about biblical principles or being around people who are Christ-minded in nature. While one doesn't need to be a Christian in order to attend this campus, the atmosphere is conducive to Christian standards.
