Expenses and art supplies.

As a transfer student, I only had enough credits to come in as a Sophomore, despite having complete two years at my old University. This means I still have to go through some of the foundation classes that MCAD requiers students to take. Some of these classes I don't find useful, and see them as just another obstacle in my way of focusing fully on my animaiton education.

I would say the single most frustrating thing about my school is what they call the "MCAD" bubble. Everyone is so wrapped up in there art it takes you about two years to actually begin to socialize! And pretty much all the student ran clubs at MCAD are inactive. So being a freshman in all "Foundations" classes it's really tough for you to break out, have fun, and make new friends. Especially if you are from out of town.

There is not much opportunity to find inspiration from other sources, such as hobbies or other learning experiences, besides sitting in your studio and making art. The school is rigorous, and too often forgets that there is a world outside of it.

One sided views. It's a very liberal school, that focuses on one kind of design. To be truly creative you need to argue with people most of the time.
