The location of Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) is the single most frustrating quality I have experienced as a student. To explain, I have lived in St. Paul for the first two years of attending MCTC, and have not enjoyed communting through morning rush hour to attend my classes. Likewise, the location is a hindrance when I am expected to be at work shortly after my classes, which is located in St. Paul. Again, as a resident of the sister city, St. Paul, I find it frustrating to communte to Minneapolis on a regular basis.
The lack of resources available after regular business hours. As a full time student and employee, it is difficult to take advantage of school resources I pay for and am entitled to.
The most frustrating thing about my school is that there are not enought staff to accomodate the number of students in the administration offices. For example, counselors, financial aid, library, and bookstores. It is very hard to get an answer, set up a meeeting, or to get a phone call answered.
The most frustrating thing about MCTC is that there are so many interesting people that attend this campus that I would love to get to know, but the fact that there are so many people here I know that there is no way of possibly getting to know everyone. I strive to learn as much as possible about so many different cultures, and understand where people come from, yet there is no way of being able to hear every students' story.
