I appreciate the lengths professors go to for their students. I feel so welcome on campus and I know that I can achieve my degrees with their support. I also have been able to adjust my class sizes as needed due to me being a working mom and I still meet the required classes for my degree.
I really enjoyed going to school there. The campus was small and the teachers I had were friendly. No vehicles drive around campus and there are three roads that divide campus (main where classes are, dorms, and athletic facility). Class sizes were usually small. They also had many campus activity nights that were fun to go to.
The school has average ratings, however is very affordable. The great advantage of being at MSUM is the ability to leverage the tri-college school agreement; meaning you can take classes at MSUM, NDSU, and Concordia College 1 time a semester for the same cost as your "home school" tuition.
It's a good school but I feel like the arts here are pretty weak. I feel like we could be more engaged in the classroom, but sometimes it just feels like most of the information I've learned here, has come from a book. Some of the professors are great, but there is much room for improvement.

There are a few things that I would say to my highschool self. First of all, take advantage of the dual-credit opportunities available at your local community college. Get some of the general requirements out of the way during your Junior and Senior years of highschool so that you will have more opportunities to get involved on campus when you start college. It saves time, energy, and money. Secondly, make a list of what is most important to you in a university. Some ideas might include: location and distance from home, size of campus and how spread apart it is, academic programs, student organizations, etc. Next, take as many campus tours as you can. Travel to each school you are thinking about applying to. This may not seem very important, but it is! You just can't get what you need in order to choose without seeing it for yourself. Once you start college, get involved!!!! Participate in dorm activities. Check out student organizations and academic clubs. This is where you will meet people who share similar interests and beliefs. This has seriously made the most important contribution to my university experience.
My classmates are very friendly and willing to help with homework and assignment.
I am not sure there is really a worst thing about MSUM. For me I dislike taking classes on-line but it is a nice way to take classes. I guess I really dislike classes that start before 9 am. I would rather take classe from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The best thing about my school is that it is just the right ratio for me: It is in a large community so that i can explore around me, but it is also small enough for it to be a really friendly school. The size is perfect because there are small class sizes which make it is easier to learn, and the campus is always filled with familiar faces. All the people here are so great!
Friendly and easy going atmosphere.
Someone who is out-of-the-norm. This is a pretty liberal campus and there are many different people here.
Someone who is trying to get into a competitive field, other than education.
I tell them how much fun I have there. I still have friends that are still in high school and even convinced one to go to MSUM. I tell them about the fun activities there are to do here and how they can be apart of it. I think I have gotten all of them to fill out an application there. I also brag about the great communication between student and professors.
The campus is small enough to walk everywhere on campus, but large enough to feel like a college. It is also much more affordable compared to the other schools I had planned on attending when I was considering my options. This school has turned out to exceed my expectations more than I thought it would. It's much more social, and I also don't feel like I am just a number to the school.
Hygiene jobs are impossible to find in town. Husband refuses to move away from his family. Have to find patients. This isn't something we'd do in a real practice. Teachers are stuck up and pretentious. Most of the female falculty and staff are a bunch of bitches. No school wide policy exists for funeral leave, sick leave, birth leave, or grading. Not all on same page for the basic stuff. But they've a school wide policy on drugs, alcohol, theft, and cheating! Go figure. All need to get off high horse and pull heads out of ass.
the most frustrating thing about campus is the size. its's a really small campus so everyone knows everybody, which makes it difficult to meet new people.
Teaching majors (especially elementary education), the arts, our brand new science lab, and all the opportunities for undergraduate research.
It's the perfect size school. If your experience is anything like mine you'll feel connected to the campus in no time. The profs are amazing!
