I believe it is a great school. Not much to do or participate in as it is such a small town. I like that is close to home and is providing me and other students with teaching opportunities allowing students to go out in the community and receive a hands on learning experience.

Jacob - 09/11/2020

There are great people in Minot on and off the campus. The university does a good job allocating student funds in a way that they get back to the students. For a state university, they do a lot of really impressive things. It's no private school, and it's not on a beach, but it gets the job done if you are looking for your degree for less than average expenses.

I really enjoy Minot State University. It feels that all of the staff and faculty really care about you as a person, not just as a student. When you ask for help, there are people there to support you in your journey. The dining hall food is not too terrible, and the dorms I live in are actually pretty nice.

My overall opinion to Minot State University is that for a college in a smaller populated state such as North Dakota, Minot State has almost any opportunities both academically and in extracurricular activities. If a student needs help to revise a paper or assistance with a class, we have an excellent Writing Center and Tutoring Center. The class size to student ratio makes the education experience more intimate and easy to relate with the professor on a name basis. A selling point is the affordable tuition compared to the excellent education received at the university. Activities and club opportunities are held almost every week to get students engaged and moving around campus instead of being cooped up in the Residence Halls all day long after classes. I have become far more involved on campus because of the opportunities and happy I chose Minot State University!
