The people are great but there is absolutely nothing to do. Get used to just staying in your dorm pretty much every weekend while the RA's crawl up and down the hallways. And make sure your music isn't loud otherwise your the biggest target. You are rarely allowed to have fun in the dorms and when you do, 9 out of 10 times you're gonna get in trouble.

Veronica

Misericordia University is a small. private, liberal arts school in a safe PA community. All students on campus are friendly and always available to help. I do not prefer the dining hall on campus, but there are more options for food such as Chick-fil-a, Chopping Block, and Starbucks. I really enjoy the close-knit atmosphere of Misericordia University. GO cougs!!

Marissa

The campus is small (which I enjoy) and safe, the people are always nice, but parking is limited and the amount of debt I'm in is ridiculous.

Kristina

Overall, the academics are great at Misericordia. However, there is little social life as most people go home on weekends and there are only a few small parties to go to. It is a great choice for someone looking to go into the health sciences. This is a school that is chosen for academics, not for sports or the social atmosphere.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would give myself the advice to learn how to releave stress. I would take more time for myself and my family to reduce the stress I have. Also I would spend more time with my family and friends because once you get to college it is a lot harder to hangout with your friends and especially your family during the week. Another advice I would give myself is to learn how to manage my time, and that teachers in college are tougher on students then they are on high school students.

  3. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I believe the worst thing about my school is that the cmpus is put together awkward. It is not easy to find out how to get to places and where they are located. If the campus was put together a little better it would be great. Also there outdoor vollyball court and their outdoor basketball court need some maintence done to keep them up to date.

  10. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Attendance policy and pointless homework assignments for grade are worth more than actual test and paper scores. Intelligence gains you nothing at this school, going to class and doing homework is what they want. Being able to learn on your own and score well on tests and papers is not what they are looking for at Misericordia, simply shut your mouth show up and do homework. Not my idea of higher education, I do not want to be a mindless drone.
