It’s a decent community college. There are lots of options for GE classes and teachers are friendly and mostly effective. However, there is not as much of a community atmosphere, so you need to be independent and responsible for your own academics, and sometimes you have to deal with communication difficulties.

Mission college is a friendly campus .... mission college is very helpful with academics and success at mission. the professors work hard to help support students pass there classes. this is a great school and I recommend this school to anyone that is interested in wanting to attend.

Mission College has provided me with everything I needed - opportunities and support. This is one community college that embraces it’s community. The diversity and the acceptance of that diversity is the beauty of Mission College. The faculty and staff are extremely helpful. All they want for us is to attain success. They organize various workshops for students regularly. There is job fair every semester on campus to offer you opportunities. Mission believes in equity. I am a proud student of Mission College.

Mission college staff has helped me to get into the classes I need so I can transfer to a university I want. The counselors are helpful and they want you to succeed, so they will try to save you time so you can transfer right away. The professors are great, they take their time to talk to their students out of class. The campus is average size, but its clean and the students are great.

    The number one thing you should know to acheive what you really want out of your education is to try your best. Have school be one of your highest priorites in your life right now. Don't let anything or anyone get in the way of that. Right now what matters is your education and how you plan on getting to where you want to be. Sure, you have friends and other things you want to do during your life right now, and I'm not saying to completely cut it out of your life, but to just realize how you should prioritize it and to not put off what is really important. In order to have a great and successful life for yourself, education is the key. Without it, you'll be stuck in one spot, with one option. School opens so many doors for you and allows you to go wherever you desire. Just remember that your friends will always be there after school, but right now you need to focus on you.

    Students who are motivated to continue their education passed high school, whether they had good grades or not. Whoever has the determination to begin their career at a community college and then plan on tranferring to a University to begin their lives and further their education.

    I brag mostly about my classes, and how great my professors are at what they do. Also, how easy it is for me to learn at my school. I've met some amazing people at school, both teachers students. There are some students that are on similar paths as me that I can understand and that can understand me.

    Most mind their own business and are busy with school however when approached , they are friendly and willing to cooperate and help you.

    The student body made up of people in a wide range of age and race. Mission college is also one of the oldest colleges in the area. Majority of the classes can be found in one building.

    Its not very crowded. Minimal competition for classes and attention from teachers. The school offers evening classes for those who need to work in the mornings and afternoons.

  8. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

    There really isn't anything bad about my school as everyone tends to focus on doing well in school as well as enjoying themselves. The only problem are that there are some teachers that many feel are unfit to teach or that their curriculum is awkward.

TUITION & AID

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
