I wish I knew where most of the buildings were located so I could find it very easily and help other individuals who aren't familiar with the area just yet.
I wish I had known about the school not having it's own personal book store, so a student could use their student ID's to buy school books. Also, the fact that the work study is a first come first serve system.

Before I attended Mississippi State I wish I knew how to navigate to campus. Mississippi State has a very large and beautiful campus that is very easy to get lost in. I was found myself getting lost everyday before I was able to learn my way around.

Better time management skills. You have a lot more time on your hands at college and its easy to get carried away with extrcurricular activities or hanging out with friends. Make sure you balance time with friends, school, clubs, etc.
I wish I had a full understanding of the costs associated with my Bachelor of Architecture degree. I would have asked to work longer hours more often or come in whenever needed. I wish I would've known the importance of scholarships and understood that they are not a luxury, but a necessity. I also should have paid more attention to how I spent my money, including how I would spend it on campus. In fact, if I could give advise to myself as a junior or senior in high school, I would have expressed these concerns.

How hard the classwork would be coming from a small school
If you are awarded a housing scholarship, it is conditional - you can only receive your housing scholarship if you live in a campus housing facility and you are not guaranteed the same type of housing throughout the entirety of your education. They can bump you down into a lower housing bracket if they need space in a higher one, no matter what you put on your housing preference application.

I had many friends already at/planning to attend this school. They helped to inform me of the school but the school itself is very pro-active in visitng junior colleges and sending out materials to prospective students.

To get involved I just really got invovled this year and I am involved with many organizations meeting tons of new people and having a great time. My best advice is get involved!!!

I wish I realized to apply for housing earlier. Apply as soon as possible and try to get into the Honors Program. Honors housing is nice. It is first come first serve basis for housing.
