It seems to me to be a pretty average school, however I don't have much experience with other schools, so it's hard to say. I wasn't very invested in my own education when I was younger, so I didn't participate in much on campus, and I didn't have a great attendance record. Only later in life did I realize what a mistake that was.
At Missouri Southern State University, there is a ton of different opportunities for each student. All the teachers I have had in my three years have all been available for assistance and have wanted to see their students succeed. With a small class size, classes become easier to have a better one on one experience with the professors to get the best education possible.
Missouri Southern State is a very nice school to attend. The student-teacher ratio is small which is good for me because I like direct attention and one on one help. Also the faculty is awesome, always responsive and willing to help and love to see their students succeed. The on campus housing is also very nice and convenient, it almost makes me feel like I'm at home. Southern is also very diverse many different clubs and activities and sport, its almost impossible to not find something that you're interested in or what to know more about. Being at Southern has help me come out of my shell and expose me to different things I didn't know about. I love being here and continue to stay here until I graduate and receive my degree.
Dry campus Lots of activities offered free movies, comedy shows, etc Great tutoring offered Safe secure campus
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Missouri Southern State University is 94%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
This is a fun question. In retrospect, I can say that I have made some really great decisions in the last few years. My choice of institution(s) for higher education, my decision to get married and start a family, and the determination to begin a career in management are all choices I consider to be balanced and right given the circumstances. I don't think I would want to go back and sway my high school self or influence his decisions in any way. That being said, I think the most useful counsel I could have heard would have been, "Everything will work out". In hindsight, I don't think I would have appreciated spoilers from my future self, but the assurance that, come hell or high water, everything will be okay....that would have been most welcome information as I faced the anxiety of the collegiate transition.
Awesome.
The best thing about MSSU is that it gives me the skills lacking in an immigrant. I learn how to speak, how to communicate, and how to adapt to the local community.
The worst thing about my school is the cost. Not so much the amount per credit hour, but all the fees that they charge that are extra, for things that aren't even used. If you don't live on campus, you shouldn't have to pay all the fees for the buildings that only on-campus students use. It isn't fair.
Missouri Southern was very familiar to me. The campus is easy to navigate, the professors are easy to reach, and the commute was comfortable for me. Opportunities for social activities, sporting events, and employment nicely complement the learning and academic focus of the institution.
younger than myself
Missouri Southern is best known for mainly education. They strive on helping the average student to achieve an unaverage education. Even in all the campus extra activites that students participate in. Missouri Southern realizes that especially in the midwest you will not truley succeed without an education. Having and education can get you further in this town than working in the same job you have had since high school. just Hoping that someday you could move up in the company line. This subject is something that me as a student am most proud of in this economy.
Activities. MSSU lacks the ability and possibly the resources to plan fun and interesting activities for college students. All students do on weekends and even weekdays in drink and smoke pot, it is frustrating. I wish there were other things, on campus to do other than play basketball or volleyball, watch movies or go to the library. I also don't like that a lot of the advisors don't know what all the school offers, I got the run around last year on a class that I was trying to clep I ended up paying to take it twice.
That the library is sort of out of date on a lot of subjects. Luckily they have a program where students can borrow library books from other colleges for free so that we can get up to date books. They also have connections to an online library where a lot of new books can be found.
Others schools tend to have a lot more drinking and drug use. Missouri Southern isn't all about the social aspects and has more focus on the actual schoolwork and on the student's future career.
This college is good for those want hands on teaching, need affordable tuition, like a small town feel, and likes the arts. People who wants to start planning their job future while they are still in college. Teacher try to help student to express ones creative ideas.
I would say anyone should and could attend here.
There are so many it would be hard to say what is the most popular.
Idk
Many fields of study at this school, I love the options and choices that are there.
