The professors at Missouri State are excellent. Every one I had was high quality.
The Pride Marching Band was a great decision for me. We led the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1996. Knowing that I had 400 people who were there for me simply because of a common interest shared made going to college, 3 hours away from home, easier. I still keep in touch with these men and women today. We will always have that bond and, oh, the stories we can tell! It was great to be immersed into a group of people from day one as I never felt alone.
*Quality education at very good costs!
MSU is for-students in many ways, including keeping the main campus library opened 24-hrs during finals week and carrying out its mission statement in public affairs.
Also, beautiful campus within a very community-oriented city that's not too big or small.
The art department teachers are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome campus acitivities
I brag about the awesome sorority and fraternity life. I love the greek community and my sorority Alpha Chi Omega. I don't know what I would do wtih out those women.
They have an excellent education program.
When I tell My friends about Missouri State I tell them that the teachers are really hands on and they are willing to meet with you at any time. I also tell them Its a really Fun campus to be on, theres always something to do and you can walk anywhere and have some fun. The food is also something that is mentioned. I tell them that the dining halls are really great and the dorms are really nice as well.
I love the size and distance of my school. At first glance, it seems like it would be overwhelming because it is a Division I school but the class sizes are excellent. Many of my classes range from 15-30 people. The lectures are around 150, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference on how much you learn. I see so many people I know walking to classes that it feels like a home away from home. The 3 hour distance from my house is quite perfect also.
The friends I have made up here. I ran across a couple of music majors in a couple of my classes and they have been some of the best people I have ever met. It feels like I belong here. Some of my classes are really great too there are a lot of down to earth professors here that actually care if you pass or fail so it isn't like high school.
I have finally decided to do something for myself and I am attending college for the first time. I am proud of myself.
The campus is beautiful and Springfield is a fun city to live in.
I am currently attending Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida. I think this college is really good. The school provides me with a very strong academic support by providing easy access to the library online and on-campuses ,also tutorial help is always available whenever I need it. The class rooms and laboratories are fully equipped with necessary technology. For the first two year of general education it is wonderful, and the tuition price is very affordable
about how interesing all of my classes have been and how well the teachers are able to relate the material to the students. I also love how involved the teachers try to get the students to make it more of a hands on learning enviornment. i transfered here from wichita state and have been blown away by how much more i have learned and how much better my grades were just this semster then the entire year i attended WSU.
I love the universal community. There are students and teachers from all over the world and it makes for greater learning. Somethings you get from college you don't get from your books!
The professors are generally understanding. They are usually very good at finding time to talk with students as the student is trying. Most professors try to make the class as interesting as possible to keep you listening during the lecture. Notes are pretty easy to take, because all of the buildings are technologically savvy and usually have really nice computer systems that include a huge screen to show the notes on.
Amazing! so much help is offered always have the attention that you want, most of the time. it is such a great experience starting at a community college because it almost prepares you for a univerity. Going to a community college gives you a feel of how the college life is. Its so much to do on campus as far as getting ivolved in different organizations of your interest. the college also has scholarship programs that pays for your tuition for up to two to four years. you dont really have a big problem getting into tutuoring either. so awesome.
There is so much to do on campus, but its all about getting involved. Getting involved has given me great friends that I know will come with lasting friendships. The activities that I participate in have given me opportunities that I've never had before.
I was able to take a trip to New York City, Amsterdam, and Paris because of my participation in the Concert Chorale and had my own works performed over 40 times while at MSU.
The enrollment size is large enough to have many opportunities but the campus area size is small enough to walk around in short amounts of time.
I don't really like the bragging term, but when I talk to old friends from high school I like to talk about how I have found a good group of friends where I am now. There are always friendly people on campus willing to help with whatever is going on. There is always someone around to do something, from playing a game of ultimate frisbee to discussing religious views. I love being able to meet someone and relate with them instantly and immedialty start doing something we both have an interest in.
Missouri State has one of the best teacher education programs in the state, and is also one of the most affordable state colleges. They also provide alot of scholarship opportunities. There is always something going on, so it is rarely boring.
When talking to my friends about my school, I mostly brag about the fun I have on weekends, especially Thursday nights. There is so much going on and always something to do. I meet a ton of people and have the best times, always.
The parties. Great Parties.
I brag about how well I can manage my school work and job. There are flexible course times.
I have been a part of the Missouri State Color Guard program, which is a very established program. We also have this amazing fountain in the middle of our campus. Lastly, we just completed our huge new arena for our talented basketball team.
The science departments at Missouri State University, particularly Chemistry, and Biomedical Sciences, have provided me with what I think is a great foundation for medical school (in my case) as well as other post-graduate degrees.
The stuff we do to entertain ourselves?
Quality of education
They have good, cheap programs to help with studying abroad
The sports teams, except football.
my awesome appatment has so much space.
I really love the size of the school. It is large, but compact so nothing is too far out of the way. Plus, we can get into our sporting events for free, unlike Mizzou.
