An awesome school with a great dedication to students and creating a wonderful learning environment. They offer a plethora of classes fulfilling the most extravagant of interests with some of the most endearing and caring professors who are always there to help.

Class options are great, plenty of programs to choose from that will prepare you for hands-on careers (they have wonderful medical and law enforcement programs and impressive lab classes). Never felt much guidance from academic advisors (of which I've seen a few here) but they all listen and try to help. Professors, on the other hand, were some of the best: dedicated, fun, relatable, understanding and approachable. They've turned some of the most boring classes into something to look forward too. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the school's president was issuing updated emails weekly when the school first transitioned online, a very promising and reassuring response. While such communication has ceased and teachers have been left to do what feels right, this is only a small bump in the road of MPC's possibilities. It is a really great school that suites and encourages their students.

I love the above average opportunities MPC provides to our community, just entering from high school or returning adults! Monterey Peninsula College has been a stepping stone for many to pursue even Ivy League schools. The area is one of the most majestic areas i've ever been in. If you come here you will not want to leave!

I am from South Carolina and never thought I would be in California- ever. My mom suggested that I go for the experience and I don't regret it for a minute. I love the people and the diversity among us. The school has great profesors that are willing to go the extra mile and I love my coaches because they put academics first, then athletics. We are being taught life lessons at Monterey Peninsula College.

  3. What's unique about your campus?

    The teachers at Monterey Peninsula College are phenomenal, especially for community college instructors. Several have a Ph.D. in their field, they come from different places and have different experiences to offer, and I have always felt that my teachers are genuinely interested in my academic and personal success. The small class sizes are a major contributing factor to the effectiveness of MPC's instructors. I've also noticed that the faculty at MPC communicate and collaborate in order to provide a complete, balanced learning environment. I am supremely grateful to have been taught by such qualified individuals.

    someone that isn't big into partying and very big in to getting there degree. I actually go to CSU Monterey Bay, but they didn't have that as a choice, soI picked the closest thing.

    California State University of Monterey Bay is a new growing campus that is beautiful and unlike any other because of where it is located and the friendly diverse staff that encourages and supports the expanse of knowledge about the environment and the world that every student is going to ace after college.

  8. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

    The size might be a good thing, but it is also its weakness. Small schools do not allow students to reach their full potential. When I think of a college I think of pathways to the future. Students need to see what is out there waiting for them. They need to see their passion and where it will take them. This school lacks the material. The material that could give a student the very meaning of seeking a career.

    The admissions office has lost a number of files that I and some of my friends have sent in before and have made it very challenging for me at times to have all the documents I needed in on time.

  11. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

    One, how cold it is here. Two how far away from everything it is. Three the school doesn't prepare you for grad school. Four there isn't a whole lot to do here besides going to a cold windy beach.

  12. What kind of person should not attend this school?

    In my opinion, the people that shouldnt attend this school are the really career focused people because since High School they knew what they wanted and got really good grades so they should attend a 4-year university. Theres nothing wrong with attending a 2-year college after High School but they were focused and those people knew specifically what career they wanted to achieve.
