Moraine Valley is an okay college, the campus is decent sized and the teachers are there when you need help.
I had never originally planned to go to Moraine Valley, but due to some unpreventable life circumstances, I am now attending the college. Though I was at first skeptical and reluctant to go the college, I was pleasantly surprised by the overall atmosphere of the campus and college in general. Although this survey was not tailored to community colleges, I only now have realized how many similarities a four-year university and a community college have. While I do genuinely enjoy my college, there are some things that I have taken issue with. In terms of the staff, most seem apathetic while only a few seem to actually enjoy teaching. Even some of the good teachers are either bored of their job or never cared in the first place. Other than that slight issue, I have enjoyed my time at Moraine Valley and would definitely encourage others to attend the school.
I thought it was a nice school to go to. Professors were respectful and they would encourage participation in class. They were also understanding when it came to homework because they knew that we had other classes. The atmosphere was laid back yet everyone was always busy doing something productive.
My overall rating of my college is that it’s a great college to go to when you are confused about what your future holds, but know you want to further your education. It’s a great college for finding your path and figuring out where you belong and what interests you. When I started at Moraine Valley, I was a confused high school graduate with no idea on what I wanted to pursue, with only a few semesters at Moraine I am more than certain what I would career I would like to pursue.

The simplest advice I would give is to stay focused and don't fall short your senior year in high school. You're going to get into a college whether it be a 2 year or a 4 year. Don't let that be the reason to slacking off you last year of high school. Accomplish everything with great success and responsibility. It will most definately pay off in the end.
My classmates are around my age or a little bit older. Mature, smart, focused, organized, responsible, and ready.
Passionate teachers that are able to inspire their students to make something of their lives.
A place were those who may not be able to afford to go away to school can get a quality education.
Someone who's not ready for school on an advanced level because Moraine Valley Community College offers nothing but excellence.
The most frustrating thing about school is the parking lot. It is always packed and sometimes it is hard to find a parking spot.
Moraine Valley Community College is a very diverse school. It offers many different certificates and offers students different choice for Corporate America. Moraine is a very well known community college. The staff is very helpful on campus and the school offers us many different resources. It is a great choice for high school graduates to first start college off at. I am very happy with my decision to begin college here.
Transfer Credits and the counselors know nothing.
I brag primarily about the classes. The teachers are pretty laid back and the cirriculum is challenging yet easy at the same time. A majority of my teachers don't require students to turn in homework, which is pretty cool considering that I have zero time to do homework due to work and other activities. Though while they are lax about homework, they are strict on tests and projects. How well we do there determines our status and grade in the class.
My school is large, but other than that it is just like high school.
The class are hard
A person who is uncertain of what they want to do with their future. Also someone who does not have a lot of income to spend on a four year university. It's a welcoming place.
