Moreno Valley College is a college that doesn't really have an in-campus culture. If anything everyone that is enrolled in this school from what I see is people just want to get their courses done and over with, socializing happens here and there. Despite having a lack of that culture the professors are nice they show how much they care and are passionate about the subject at hand. The professors are always available through Zoom calls, email, or office hours to care for our education as well as our well-being.

It's a very nice campus with friendly students and staff. The layout of the campus is great too.Classes are easy to find because the building's are clearly marked and are within close proximity to each other. The energy and campus are equally attractive and ideal for learning.

I actually love the community college! I went into the college with a negative attitude because of the stigma around community colleges but I'm glad that I didn't give into those words because the class sizes are amazing! People are nice and helpful and even if I do feel lost or stuck there is always someone near to help. There is also a campus security and we have our own app to use for emergencies, so I never feel unsafe. Overall, It's an amazing school!

I think Moreno Valley College is a good school, but they need to offer more class so students can graduate on time and they need more resources like the math lab extending their hours.

  3. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Knowing what I know now about college, I would definitely encourage myself to figure out what particular field I would be looking to go in. Clarity on the direction that you want to go is extremily important as far as college is concerned. Many people get to college and take unnecessary courses that dont apply to the major that the student chooses to begin with, and end up waisting time. I would also tell myself to dwell amongst like minded people individuals for the support needed to maintain inspiration. I would often find myself hanging around people that didn't have the same goals as me which lead to a lot of procrastination. Overtime I've learned that people that are driven by purpose goals, other than just money motivated, usually are willing to work harder at something they love doing. I would also inform myself that nothing in life is easy and understanding that now also motivates me to stay strong when things get tough.

  4. What kind of person should not attend this school?

I don't like to analyze negative aspects. I believe education is a priviledge that is accessible to any individual. Of course if you are not willing to hang in there when things get tough, I would not advise these particular people to waist there time.
