What are your classes like?

the classes tend to have 35 to 42 people in one class. i like this because it allows the professor to get to know every student on a different level. this also gives more access to get help from the teacher because its not a huge class of 100 plus students.

Classes are small compared to some other universities. No more than 25-40 students in your larger classes and your smaller classes could range from anywhere between 5-10 students. The classes depending on the professor are very student driven and allow for classroom discussions.

Most classes are medium sized with ranging from 15 - 30 students. Orientation classes are the largest with a total of about fifty students in each section; the classes are held in the auditorium. The courses range from easy to moderately challenging classes to very difficult classes. It is the responsibility of the student to get the scope and teaching style of the professor and adapt him or herself to in order to acquire knowledge in the class. So far my classes have been moderately difficulty and my most challenging course this semester is Physics. It is really not that difficult but there are lots of formulae and terms to memorize. Other educational courses such History and Humanities are quite easy.

Classes at Morgan are very small and personable. The student/ teacher ratio is 18:1. If your class meets 3 times a week then it is 50 minutes long, if it meets twice a week then one day the class may be 50 minutes and the other day it will be an hour and 50 minutes. There are also classes that meet once a week and are very long (about 3 hours).

The classes are not hard at all. I enjoyed coming to class, however as of late it has become boring and redundant. At least most of my professors are thorough and ascertain that we understand the points they're trying to make. None of my teachers seem to know how to stay on topic, though.

My classes hmmm, have you ever felt like all you need to do is buy the textbook, take a look when an exam is coming up and an 'A' will come your way? Well, not at Morgan, and most definitely not true if you're a member of the Graves School Honors Program. For some classes, textbooks are mandatory while that may not be so for others. Professors expect lots of class participation and group-work is usually required to complete assignments. I am taking 19 credits right now and I would definitely *not* recommend going beyond that before students experience a semester and get a gist of the level of work that is typically required. My favorite class thus far is Intro to Professional Development. We get the opportunity to meet some amazing business leaders, network, job interviews and community service.
