Morgan State University Top Questions

I decided to go to Morgan State because it was close to home, I applied to other schools that were further away and decided that the best choice would be for me to stay in the area. My house is easy accessible from a train stop rather then a plane trip and thats something i value. Morgan was the deciding factor for me because of the price and location, although in a urban atmosphere its a place I still feel comfortable around.

Morgan State University was not my top choice of schools. My other choices were Delaware State University and University of Maryland Eastern Shore. All three of these schools were top schools for Bowling. I ended up at Morgan because it was closest to family, in the event that I ever needed anything. When I came to visit it was a beautiful campus and look liked all the students had fun on a regular basis. Coming from New York, the price for school was about the same. The food was not bad when I came to visit as well. There are some great tourist attractions that are located in baltimore as well.

School met my financial needs.

I decided to go to Morgan State University because when I visited the campus i noticed how clean and friendly the atmosphere was. A new found friend gave a wonderful tour and I immediately felt at home. It was very easy to make friends in the common social areas such as the student centers and I was really impressed with the public gymnasiums, swimming pool , game rooms, museum, lecture halls, school stores, dining halls, movie theater, ball rooms, and large dormitories. I also loved the fact that the school is highly accessible to public transportation services such as the Amtrak train and the MTA bus.

Morgan was an in state school with an affordable tuition. I wasn't very excited until I came to an open house where everyone was inviting and helpful. Along with the status of HBCU which was important to me, the business program also influenced my decision.

I decided on Morgan because it offers Architecture as a major. Architecture is only offered at a few schools in Md. Also Morgan was realatively easy to get into.

I decided to attend this school because it is affordable, In-state and very convenient, and the campus is average, class rooms are not too big and not too small so I can freely ask as many questions as I want to the professor. Also, when I transferred to Morgan my freshmen second semester, my GPA was a 2.8 and but it still accepted me, it gives everyone a chance. I'm now on my way to a 4.0!!! Morgan gave me a chance to redeem myself after my first semester in college where I didn't take my academics seriously.

I decided to attend Morgan State University because I've always wanted to attend a historical black college university since I was a child from watching the show created by Bill Cosby titled "A Different World". It showed a African Americans achieving their education in a positive way without violence. The media or show business tends to portray African Americans always being involved with criminal activities whereas Bill Cosby showed America that African Americans can be successful by achieving their college degrees, being involved in a stable marriage, and other positive aspects of being African American.

I wanted an experience I could not get back home. There are no HBCUs in California, so I knew I wanted to attend one. Morgan caught my eye because the recruiter was so nice and friendly! He offered me a full scholarship, so I visited the campus, & fell in love!

I decided to go to this school because it was close to home and they have a really good communications program, which is my current major.

I decided to go to Morgan State University because of the school of business. It was also the most convenient place for me to go where I would not rob myself of that important college experience for my life.

Morgan State University was a campus near my home and travel time was easy. The academic major of my interest was available and I was willing.

To be honest, Morgan was the most generous with scholarship money. I wasn't a straight "A" kid. However, the scholarship I was granted for maintaining a 3.4 GPA in high school paid for over 95{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of my tuition, room, and board costs! The Honors Program here isn't overly stressful, either. I love it.

I decided to school at Morgan State because I knew people here. My mum has several friends whose children schooled in Morgan and had pretty good experiences therefore I was encouraged to study here.

It felt right. I did my research on Morgan before I applied but even then it was simply 1 college on the list. During the campus tour, I made a mental check of the beautiful, green campus. Check for the library. Check for the student buildings being the more modern and best maintained buildings on campus. Check for the Honors Department giving me promising smiles after discussing my G.P.A. Major check for the information provided by the campus ambassadors seeming sensible. Topped off by the demeanor of the students I spoke to and noticed along the way - I knew, this is where I want to be. This feels comfortable. I can be me and thrive in this environment. Yes. There it goes now...
