So far I’ve enjoyed Mott quite a lot. Most of the professors and other staff are great people and very helpful. There has been some staff that show they couldn’t care less but I haven’t experienced that at all with any of my professors. The campus is nice and pretty fun to explore. I was surprised by the cool things they had in the science and tech buildings that I had no idea were there. Overall I think it’s a great college to start at

It's my sophomore year, and I haven't had too many problems. The professors are great, they actually care about you succeeding. The food is pretty good (a little pricey, but it's worth it). Very easy campus to navigate, you'll find so many different people here! Love MCC! Go bears!

I love so many aspects about Mott Community College. It is a perfect way to transition into a four-year University. The campus is kept up nicely and offers many areas to lounge and study. It is generally safe and easy to find a security officer around. I love having access to the large library and online databases for papers. The size of the classes is smaller than most universities, which means more individual mentoring. I also like the fact that they offer a writing center for free help on papers. Professors are well-educated and personable for the most part. It's important to find the best teachers because not all of them are quality instructors (be picky about which instructors you take a class from). There is a strong diversity and I have learned a lot about all types of people and their different experiences. Mott Community College is a great and very affordable school. It is a cost-effective option if you cannot afford a university initially. I pay my tuition, so this is important. I highly recommend this college based on your need to save money and get a solid start to pursue higher learning. Often, Mott Community College is looked down upon because it is a community college but the school still offers some of the great things a University does. The main thing I would like to see change at Mott Community College is parking space-it would be very helpful to somehow offer closer and cheaper/free parking, especially in the cold winter months in Michigan.

Mott is a very good school. They are not too expensive for those working their way through school. The teachers and administrators are very caring and are eager to help you learn.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back in time I would tell myself two important things. The first will be to get started on my college things much sooner. If I would have did my fasfa earlier, and took the time out to do other scholarships and/or grants I wouldn?t had to go through the things that I went through in 2008. If I knew I was going to have so much trouble with my financial aid I would have went to Mott or teachers from high school to get it done correctly and quicker. After I graduated in I thought everything was in order for me to start college.. The second will have to be wait to have a baby. Both of these reasons are why I couldn?t attend college. I wanted to take the year off to have my son, but even if I didn?t get pregnant I was still going to have to take time off to get everything situated with the financial aid process. There are a lot of things that I wish I could have done different it just to bad I really cant go back in time to start everything over.

  8. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

While serving time at The Charles Egler Facility, State of Michigan, Penal Institution, I was offered the oppurtunity to attend a internal extention program from Spring Arbor College. The oppurtunity rendered allowed me to gain the education that I never would have been able to obtain, and equipped me to re-enter free society with a plan of action, and knowledge that otherwise would not have been available to me. We went to school at the prison, and the instructors came in through armed gaurds, and barded wire to educate us. Now I'm attending school as a free man.

Before attending Mott Community College I wish I would have know more about scholarships and finical aid. Because this scholarship was taken away I now have to try and repay the thousand dollars I used during my first semester while paying my current semesters tuition. I have to work very hard to work 30-35 hours a week while attending school full time. I wish I would have know how much work it was really going to be.
