Every year our school holds MOUNTIE MADNESS. An event where the students are introduced to the new season's players of both the men and women's basketball teams. There are a number of events held this night. Lots of games, lots of prizes, food, people, and pride :). The attendance is very large each year. There is a dance held afterwards too. This year the dance went until 1 AM, and people were still going strong! It's an awesome night that shows how much pride the Mount has.
There was so much going on. Good food, symposiums, and a very lavish ceremony highlighting the colleges rich history.
Freshman Orientation was actually two days long, but they were the most memorable ones for me so far. Even though I was really shy, I met so many new people. It was really interesting to just sit down at a lunch table or on the bleachers in the gym and turn to the person next to you and get to know them. There was so much to talk about because you knew basically nothing about them. I made some of the best friends I currently have at freshman orientation. It also taught me to really not judge a book by its cover-my current roommate and I didn't really like each other at first and now we have become really good friends and lived together for two years!
The day President Foley was inaugurated.
