I wish I had known that they had no soccer team/ intramural sports.

I wish prior to enrolling at Mount Saint Mary's College that I would not have an outside social life with any of the students. Luckily I am from LA so I was able to still socialize but in terms of the girls I did not feel they wanted to associate, everyone was very focused on school. I also wish that I knew that I would struggle to find several classes that are not offered every year. This would cause me to push back my graduation date.

I wish I knew that certain courses are only offered every other semester, or every other year. I wish I knew more about studying abroad.

I wish that I had attended this school straight out of high school because the environment is very welcoming and supportive.

I wish I would have known how truly competitive the nursing program is. I entered a nursing major than changed it to health and human services because I got scared. I thought to myself maybe I should have just entered as a liberal arts major than switch it to nursing once I got the hang of college. Well that is what I am doing I will graduate this spring with my AA in health and human services and than go back to nursing and become a nurse practicioner like my dream no giving up and no looking back.

I wish I had known that college is really expensive, especially a private one. Knowing so, I would have definitely applied for many scholarships.

I wish I had known how dull the campus is on the weekends, and how expensive it is to get a parking permit.

How wonderful and peaceful it is too learn in smaller communities.

I wish I had known how rarely some of the classes were offered in the sciences. However, the new head of the department is changing this and making the schedule more accessible to the students. Also, I wish I had known how quiet the weekends were on campus. Since most of the students are from the LA area, they go home on the weekends. The Residence Life Office is offering more weekend programing to make the campus more active on the weekends. However, it is still quiet most of the time.

The cell phone services for different carrieres. I could not call home in my dorms because of the lack of reception on my cellular phone. I believe it is because of the location of the campus.
