If you like intense "night life," Murray is not that place for you; also, if you are into fast-paced, day-to-day ongoings, Murray will likely seem dull.
Those who are not willing to put in the time and dedication to their schooling, while relatively inexpensive, as my first semester at Murray State University I found that you spend a lot of time in your studies and will pull many late nights working on your studies to excel.
Murray State is accomidating to every type of student as far as I have seen. The scools location could be the only drawback to those who don't enjoy the "quiet life", because Murray is located in a very rural enviorment. The closest large city is over 30 minutes away. So people that have a need for a night life and a skyline would not enjoy the school but as for every other aspect, this school is good for almost anyone.
The kind of person that shouldn't attend Murray State University is someone who doesn't like small towns, who likes to be near or in a big city or close to a mall. Murray, Kentucky is a retirement town, with a college in the middle of it. Most of the residents in Murray are elderly and are against alcohol consumption/partying. Also, students who prefer to have bigger classes, well known sports teams, and more to do, should not decide to attend this college.
people that want to be auto mechanics or anything similar.
People who date and have relationships with the same sex. The school is in the bible belt so it is looked down on.
A person who does not want to put in any effort should not come to this school. You have to work for your degree here. The teachers will not let you just slide by with the least amount of work possible.
Somebody that has to be doing something every second of every day might want to consider a school located closer to a major city.
Someone who expects to have any activity at their fingertips at all times.
someone who can't handle a dry county.
If you are looking for the big city atmosphere, this school will not appeal to you
