Napa Valley College has a green, bright, and friendly environment for its students. There are resources available for the students such as the Writing Center, Math Center, and even the Librarians who can help you find researching sources for your essays. The classes are good overall but there could be an improvement on the quality of content taught to the students.

It's a nice, small school. Not a whole lot going on most of the time, but it is a safe and beautiful campus.

Sarah

The campus is super small and very green -- it's easy to get around. Parking sucks the first few weeks but there is backup parking, it is a walk though :) I really have loved all of my professors, even the mediocre ones were pretty good. The quality is definitely here when it comes to learning, the only disadvantage is we don't have as many classes/opportunities compared to other local CC's due to the size/newness of the campus.

Mielle

I love this college. Community colleges are very underrated. I've had a wonderful time getting to know the faculty here and have met professors that care about your education. Most people believe you need to attend an elite private school or a prestigious public university in order to get recognition. I don't believe that is the purpose of college. Perhaps for some people. Education is what you make of it. Napa Valley College fosters an environment where students can experience higher education at an affordable price.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would give myself the advice: Wake up every day and remember why you are going to school and do not be afraid to try new things and take classess that interest you. For college is not only the institution that will give one the some of the education that they will use in the world, but it is also a new place for one to truley show their full potential which decides your future. As well as, it is important to try new things because I need to be sure that I am going to study what I love, not what others want me to study. For what I choose to study, is what I will do for the rest of my life. If I am not having fun, doing what I do, I am not living my life right.
