The students at this school vary from progressively liberal to slightly conservative. You can always find people who share your interests. We speak openly about gender pronouns, sexualities, and our interests.
Everybody here is very open to one's thoughts and religious beliefs. The belief is that every is entitled to their own opinion and has the right to their own opinion. In addition to being open, the student population as a whole is superbly kind, with strangers leaving you anonymous notes to brighten your day. Students talk about their future and their current research, but not in a competitive way.
Unique, abnormally friendly, super nice, nerdy, intelligent people who love to have fun. You'll see people walking around campus in bath robes and capes, but also normal attire. There's no strong sense of cliques and everyone seems to talk to everyone at some point even if there's a group they tend to hang out with. I once saw a group of people standing in the middle of a pouring rainstorm and I just went out and stood with them and talked for the duration of the rain while water ran down our faces. I often end up sitting in Ham (our dining hall) with someone I hadn't met before and we'll shake hands and exchange names. The vast majority of students are Florida natives.
New College students are some of the most intelligent, creative, and well rounded people I will ever know.
My classmates are intelligent, unique, curious, interested and a lot of them are very much into drugs.
My classmates are very intellectual people that are able to think outside of the box and are very competent in the research projects they choose to do.
Extremely intelligent, always more than ready to try new things, and full of life -- a combination that certainly borders on crazy.
My classmates are the quirkest bunch of academically motivated (to learn the material not just earn a top grade), socially conscious individuals I have ever met. I honestly love all of them.
My classmates are an ecclectic bunch. Hippy skirts to high heels. Weird interests to normal. I have a friend who aspires to study dung, and another who will be a top notch physists.
