What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Dear 15 year-old self,
The day you stepped in your high school was the day you promised yourself that you would do everything in your power to make the best of your high school experience. You vowed to yourself that you would have no regrets as you walked to the podium to accept your diploma. You tried new things, met new people, made many friends and along the way, developed into an intelligent, independent and beautiful person. But, you missed one very important thing. You're worth is not determined by who or how many people are around you but rather it is determined by the quality of person that you are. Never let anyone influence your decisions and never put your self-worth on the back burner for others. I promise one day you'll figure it out. It is said that experience is the best teacher and that as life goes on, clarity will come to what is important and what is not.

The worst thing I consider about my school is the heating. In the winter months of New Englanad it gets very cold and coming into a warm building would make going to class so much easier. Sitting in class rooms that are freezing does not make the learning enviroment anymore comfortable. If the classrooms were warmer students would be more inclinded to come to every class and would have a more comfortable time learning.

The most frustrating thing about school is being away from home. Since I’m from Philly, I’m not use to a lot of people and in Henniker, New Hampshire, it’s different. Here in Henniker, it’s hard to adjust to a very small community. The air is fresher, the people are nicer. Being away from my family is hard enough and then there is college homework that gets over whelming at times. Everything changes once you get into college computer homework. Just because I’m a young adult, teachers imply that I know how to work a computer.

There is nothing that I wish I had known before coming, since just about everything I experienced so far I was told about.

The people, in particular the professors, are very invested in you as a person. The diversity is pretty great, as well.

Small, and Private College located in Henniker, New Hamphire. The school is a nice place that provides a calm an relaxing atmosphere that assists students with their work and studies.

The best thing about my college is the Student Entertainment Commity. The SEC puts on musician, hypnotist, dances ect. The SEC always have something going on in case anyone wants a break from studying.

One of the reasons why New England College was on my radar during by application process was because of its well-known education program. I've never been the person to take the easy way out, and I knew by going to NEC I would be challenged constantly in the major I wished to pursue. After one semester I can already tell that New England College will prepare me to be the best and most successful teacher that I could possibly be.

Someone who enjoys being in small classes and enjoys being in small towns and likes quaint areas. Also, this school has the best education program in the state of New Hampshire.

Someone who doesn't want small classes, a friendly environment, and a lot of interaction with professors and fellow students. This is not a school where you can come to class and hide in the back row, the classes are small, 30 students at the most and that is only for general requirement classes. Courses in your major can be as small as 8 students. The professors will know if you are not doing your work.

I believe what makes our school so unique is that we are so honed in on our students, and being able to have the time to help them and no brusht them off. The students here all primarily get along just fine.
