I would say that the best thing about NJCU is the education program that is offered. New Jersey City University also offers an excellent combintaion of liberal arts and a wide variety of major concentrations from media arts and buisness to education. I'm currenly enrolled in the eduaction program at NJCU, because their cooperative education partner list reads like a corporate who's who.

I believe for most students, especially new students, being lost in the crowd and overwhelmed by the "college experience" is a very real fear. At NJCU though, you can have the experiences of getting to meet new people, interacting with other cultures, and preparing for the future without having to feel like you are going to lose yourself in the process. A student can learn so much without having to change their fundamental beliefs and they do not have to be afraid of being rejected for expressing themselves.

New Jersey City University won me over with its small personal classrooms. The lectures not only allow the professors to get to know each student but also made the students comfortable enough to participate. Being a transfer student from Rutgers University, I finally felt my presence recognized and I received the one-on-one help that I had always wanted. Large lecture halls and crowded classrooms were never meant for me. Thankfully, I found NJCU.

I love the diversity at my school. Everyone is different through their religion, culture, where they are from, and the way they dress( to name a few). I am able to meet and understand things going on in the world and around me through networking with people from all over.
