Read all 30 answers What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The only thing I think that my school is not doing right , is the cost of tuition its over board. The prices are going higher than usual. They should have more scholarships for student who are trying to do something good in there lifes but dont have a high gpa they should offer more help to students that have low income and are not residents of the United States. They're making those students drop there career, working in warehouses and factory, cause they cant successed in life. Students need more support and need to be taken more in consideration.

My School is best known for being the only school in New Jersey that works hand and hand with the National Architectural Accrediating Board (NAAB) for architect majors. Meaning if you are planning to get licensed as an architect in the future and would like to stay in state, then New Jersey Institute of Technology is the school for you.
Read all 13 answers What are the most popular student activities/groups?
The most popular groups and teams on campus are greek life and the volleyball team. Even though these are the big things for social life, there arent many supporters. Again, social life is really bad. Most social life takes place in the pub or frat parties, other than that, people arent really that social, because many are commuters. The nightlife isnt big at all at njit, not many people are walking around excited what to do during the night. Even during NJIT day, not many people seem enthusiastic about it. The pub is pretty small, and not that active. Personally i am part of a frat, so my social life is pretty good.

I don't brag about my school. I just say it is a difficult school to be in.
Read all 10 answers What is your overall opinion of this school?
From my experience, NJIT is a mediocre school. A few things I would like improved would be: to renew or expand the campus, to reexamine some professors because they really don't seem qualified to be teaching, and sadly there needs to be a larger female population. My school is far too small, I sometimes feel like I'm attending an extension of high school. The surrounding area around NJIT is also not too friendly. Many people do not want to live in Newark or even go off campus due to muggings and robberies that take place. My complaints of NJIT are fairly prolific throughout the school.
Read all 10 answers What are the academics like at your school?
The answer to this question varies greatly, and is certainly subjective. I'm majoring in IT currently but I enjoy programming, and I know for a fact that half of the people in all of my IT classes would say that they hated it because it required some programming. That being said, I would say there are more bad professors than good professors. I've had a couple that I really enjoyed, who were very knowledgeable and challenging, and more often I get professors that are either too easy or don't seem fit for the job. Students at NJIT are not very academically competitive, and the academic requirements are quite low. Many people don't even seem to want to be there most of the time, but this may just be because they haven't found a suitable major.
Read all 9 answers What kind of person should not attend this school?
If you don't know what you want to major in or lack organizational skills you may find this school to be difficult to attend as you may fall easily behind. There is little to no tolerance for late turned in work and while some professors will allow you to do extra work for a missing grade it is not an adviced course of action here. Math and Physics are not courses for the faint of heart, if you lack an affinity for mathematics or science this school should be avoided.

Sports aren't that big here but the sports scene is growing. The school is putting more money into athletics and we have new facilities for athletes and students to use. Soccer is big here, even though we're not the best, you will usually see groups of students playing soccer on the new field.

That we are all computer geeks. There are several stereotypes and groups though: the architecture students all live in the archy building (true for the most part), IT students generally stick together within their major, the other three majors generally get along, the sports teams only affiliate amongst themselves, etc.
