Students enjoy studying individually but many, especially in upper level classes, enjoy large homework/study groups. The majority of students are white but a variety of other ethnicities are present as well. Both straight and gay people are present and there are a number of religions, although many seem to be spiritual without a specific religion. Usually your classmates and roommates make up your immediate friends. Most of your classmates in your major-related classes will be in your same classes throughout your four years as an undergraduate.
