My classmates are mostly non-traditional students in their late 20s and early 30s that are generally very smart and easy to get along with if you take the time to get them to open up.

Students enjoy studying individually but many, especially in upper level classes, enjoy large homework/study groups. The majority of students are white but a variety of other ethnicities are present as well. Both straight and gay people are present and there are a number of religions, although many seem to be spiritual without a specific religion. Usually your classmates and roommates make up your immediate friends. Most of your classmates in your major-related classes will be in your same classes throughout your four years as an undergraduate. There are many more males than females and classes follow this pattern.
