The "popular" courses vary depending on your social group, but there are a couple that I would say are very popular campus wide. Every student has to take courses that are called "Viewing a Wider World." These courses are upper division (300 level and above) and are in a different college than you are enrolled in. There are a limited number that students can take, so these tend to be courses that people discuss a lot and provide a lot of recommendations to other students. The most popular, I would say, is Human Sexuality. A few very popular others are Engineering Technology, Leadership Development, and Women's Health Issues. Most Freshman take basic courses together like Introduction to Theater, Algebra, and Chemistry.
