Nothing, I was prepared for everything.
Before attending New York Institute of Technology, I wish I would have known about the teaching methods in the school. I find it very interesting and different that our school makes use of their technology when teaching students. Since there are multiple campus locations, teachers have the ability to teach their students through a webcam. For example, at the Old Westbury campus there are classrooms where students are taught through a screen. The person on the screen is a professor that may be on the manhattan campus and is communicating through webcam. This is certainly something different from other schools.
I wish I had known more about the other programs that are available in the college.

This school is roughly 80% commuter, and so those dorming here don't have much to do. Because of this, it is very difficult to initiate any kind of positive change, since most students couldn't care less. There's a good reason that the widely spread piece of advice among students is that NYIT stands for "Next Year I Transfer". In addition to commuter student apathy, the administration gives off the aura that they're flexible to student needs but are anything but helpful in 9 out of 10 cases. They act more like Public Relations: Excuses, no help.
I wish before I came to NYIT that I had known how unsocial this campus is .
That required courses in my major were only offered once a year.
