What is your overall opinion of this school?

The school is grossly overpriced, but the experience of living in New York and receiving a highly ranked education is worthwhile. The film program is the second best in the country, and the Tisch school of the arts is known for producing graduates who are highly successful in their fields of choice, whether it be film, music, acting, or television.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

If you're going to NYU for a specialized program that is highly ranked on the national level, then I think it is worth attending this school. However, if you're studying something pretty general in the humanities or sciences that you can major in anywhere, then I have to question why you would be going to this school. Is it worth $70K per year just to get a regular old history degree? I doubt it.

What are the academics like at your school?

My gen ed classes have felt easy, but I purposely took easy classes because I am a film student. The film courses are pretty cool, but it depends a lot on if you choose a good professor or not.

What kind of person should not attend this school?

If you are extremely interested in college sports or dislike cities then you should not attend this school.

What kind of person should attend this school?

Someone who is not interested in a traditional college experience. If you want to grow up faster than your friends attending state schools, explore and take advantage of one of the greatest cities in the world, and forge your own path, this is the school for you.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I love this school. First of all, you can't beat living in New York City. You have access to endless resources, activities, and inspiration. It is a very academically challenging school no matter what you are studying and you can always find an intellectual conversation to partake in. There are so many clubs, organizations, and communities to be involved in, so it shouldn't be too hard to find friends if you're looking for 'em. However, this school is ridiculously expensive and gives very poor financial aid so it may not seem worth it for most.

NYU overall is a good school. The worst thing about it is the price, hence the reason why I'm sitting here on this website. NYU does offer a lot of services and opportunities, and yes, those cost money. But they can be cutting costs in a variety of places. The good thing is that there is now a task force that is working on that.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

My expectation for continuing graduate social work studies in NYU has helped expand my learning on how to deconstruct the notion of poverty and explain how it is based on pathology. By doing so, I am learning how to apply my social work skills for educating isolated communities about social justice issues, as well as civil rights abuses in America.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

NYU is a great school for someone who doesn't value a traditional college experience with a closed campus and large greek life. It's full of diversity and opportunity and a great place to explore all of the possibilities for your future.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I really love my university, though there are times when I find it frustrating, especially when there are certain programs that you'd expect to be at NYU (since they're at most other universities), but for whatever reason are not available. There's no full South Asian Studies major, which I personally find absurd, but there are plenty of opportunities to learn about South Asia through student groups, faculty events, and some of the classes that are offered here. Just wish they had a coherent program for it all.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Ever since I was a little kid, by superficial standards alone, I was infatuated with NYU. A gorgeous school which incorporated the city surrounding it into the natural flow of the campus, unlike most colleges which seem to exist apart from their cities. Getting accepted to this school was a dream come true and attending it was even better. I loved every moment I got to be there, the same love pushing me to do my best in my field of studies and yielding incredible results. As of today, there's nothing I don't love about this college.

New York University was an amazing experience. Being in the 'Big Apple' if there is anything that the campus itself does not offer, you can find it right outside your door, or down the street and around the corner. Having attended Tisch School of the Arts, I was grateful for an educational experience that included knowledgeable professors who were also working artist themselves. The class size was always manageable, and there was never a lack of interest from the professors. There are endless extracurricular activities, on -campus and off-campus events, clubs, and groups. NYU in all aspects encourages independent spirit, academic achievement, and outside-of-the-box thinking.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

New York University is the perfect school for the independent, academically-driven, and career-oriented student. While it is large and can be a bit overwhelming for those who don't seek out or make friends easily, there are many diverse communities that one can join if they truly make the effort to do so. In my opinion, there is no campus greater than NYU's - it is right in the heart of Greenwich Village, a trendy, intellectual, and bustling part of Manhattan with a cozy feel and lots of community. In Greenwich Village - and in all of New York City, for that matter - there is never a shortage of things to do. Whether you enjoy museum hopping, shopping, trying the newest food craze, or simply exploring, there is always something to do, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. This truly is the city that never sleeps - if you need pizza at 3 in the morning, you will find no shortage of dollar slice shops to satisfy your cravings! Ultimately, NYU is the perfect place for those that want more than anything to experience life in the big city as an independent adult while still belonging to a diverse, intellectual, and highly-motivated community of students.
