What is your overall opinion of this school?

At first, I wasn't sure if I wanted to attend NYU. But after my first semester I began to love it. The space and community is big especially if you find a group or niche, there will always be support. Most staff are always there to support and are very welcoming, which provide a nice atmosphere to the college experience.

I absolutely love this school. Great people, classes, and professors. Slightly over priced but definitely worth the $$. The fact that this school is located in New York City adds to the greatness of it all. There are so many opportunities that are not only at NYU but are also in the city that makes it worth the time, money, and effort to live in NYC/NYU.

NYU is a place where there is no way you cannot thrive. There is so much help you just have to ask for it. Academic advisors are amazing. Professors aren’t all the best but you find people who you can study with. NYU is very diverse when it comes to its atmosphere. We may not be a typical campus but Greenwhich Village is definitely a cool place to be.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I have really enjoyed my experience at NYU, though everyone seems to have a different one. You can find a group to suit whoever you are and whoever you want to be (unless you love football, we don't have a team). Sports do not get a lot of attention but they do exist. Life at NYU is what you make it and academics vary widely between the schools, so that is hard to speak to in a university review. I will say that the diversity in emphasis creates an incredible environment that fosters a lot of innovation and collaboration among students.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

NYU is a multicultural and global university that trains and prepares you for the real world unlike other college campuses. Its campus is in and of the city and trains students how to navigate the city as an independent individual. I've learned how to be an adult and interact with the world just by walking to and from class. It's a fast-paced place that keeps you on your toes and there's always an opportunity to grow from every situation. The academics provide an in-depth scope and unique teaching experiences which allow for a well-rounded education. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Overall, I think NYU is a great school- especially with the connections that your professors can provide you in your future careers. The connections to internships, study abroad opportunities and professors that work in the industry cannot be compared to any other university in my opinion.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

The school is grossly overpriced, but the experience of living in New York and receiving a highly ranked education is worthwhile. The film program is the second best in the country, and the Tisch school of the arts is known for producing graduates who are highly successful in their fields of choice, whether it be film, music, acting, or television.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

If you're going to NYU for a specialized program that is highly ranked on the national level, then I think it is worth attending this school. However, if you're studying something pretty general in the humanities or sciences that you can major in anywhere, then I have to question why you would be going to this school. Is it worth $70K per year just to get a regular old history degree? I doubt it.

What are the academics like at your school?

My gen ed classes have felt easy, but I purposely took easy classes because I am a film student. The film courses are pretty cool, but it depends a lot on if you choose a good professor or not.

What kind of person should not attend this school?

If you are extremely interested in college sports or dislike cities then you should not attend this school.

What kind of person should attend this school?

Someone who is not interested in a traditional college experience. If you want to grow up faster than your friends attending state schools, explore and take advantage of one of the greatest cities in the world, and forge your own path, this is the school for you.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I love this school. First of all, you can't beat living in New York City. You have access to endless resources, activities, and inspiration. It is a very academically challenging school no matter what you are studying and you can always find an intellectual conversation to partake in. There are so many clubs, organizations, and communities to be involved in, so it shouldn't be too hard to find friends if you're looking for 'em. However, this school is ridiculously expensive and gives very poor financial aid so it may not seem worth it for most.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

NYU overall is a good school. The worst thing about it is the price, hence the reason why I'm sitting here on this website. NYU does offer a lot of services and opportunities, and yes, those cost money. But they can be cutting costs in a variety of places. The good thing is that there is now a task force that is working on that.
