What is your overall opinion of this school?

It's a little pricey yet there isn't a cafeteria which is very disappointing... but it's a good things it's in downtown so there a lot of food options! It's really different compare to other colleges because what we mainly focus on is our career. There are some times when we do projects and it feels like a waste of time, supposably we would understand what's the meaning behind the projects towards the end. I normally don't understand it, but I still end up doing pretty well!

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

There is a wide variet of people of many races, believes, religions etc. from all over the world. Usually when one is riding in a car with friends there might be a person from a different country in the car with him. Because its a small to medium school of architecture in downtown San Diego one knows everybody and gets along with its peers. Its very fast paced and intense considering the major but this school is great for people that are not sure what they are looking for and want to expand their minds artistically, theoretically and personally

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Don't be afraid of thriving and of exposure to different ideas. Learn and appreciatte your what you are tought in your classes and spend time learning how to construct . Also get a job and be exposed to the work/business side of the career as fast as possible becuase this will help you in you in the profesional aspect. Overall learn as much as you can from your peers, from your surroundings and from yourself , this is a time of self discovery and should get you ready for grad school.

What's unique about your campus?

The best thing about Newschool is definetely the great diversity that it has and the location. One trully feels exposed to different ways of life and cultures which is an important aspect in an architects experience. Also downtown San Diego offers a wide variety of building types and urban setting to develop a strong sense of urbanism and the opportunities/problems that cities have.
