Nicholls State University Top Questions

What I consider the worst thing about my school is the lack of communication between the administration (financial aid, advisors, etc.) and the student body. There is so much that we miss out on or get late because the information wasn't given completely or at all. Sometimes we, as students don't know exactly what it is that we want or need to question about different things, events, or deadlines.

I consider the worst thing about Nicholls to be the parking problems. There are numerous regulations about where certain students can and cannot park and it can sometimes be quite frustrating. With all of the parking rules, it is hard to decipher where to park and very easy to get a parking ticket.

The worst thing about Nicholls State University is that is is mostly a commuter school. Nicholls does have multiple residence halls, but in the small town of thibodaux with many other small surrounding towns, many students live at home. With a school that is mostly commuters, there are always a low attendances at evening events held on campus. This is the worst thing I could think about.

I belive the worst thing about my school would be the unbelievable lack of education funds the school is receiving from the recent state budget cuts. I strongly support higher education and having to stand by and watch as my college lacks funds to properly educate students is very disappointing. My only hope is that the state reconsiders the importance in the education of the youth because we are the future. It is extremely difficult for many of our students like me to come up with the increasing tuition costs.

The worst thing about my school is the fact that not many people are made aware of many of the things the school offers, such as jobs and a post office.

The worst thing about Nicholls State University would be the availability of parking on campus. Nicholls state is a fast-growing school because more people are choosing to attend, thus making parking less available for commuters.

The worse thing about my school would have to the parking. These just resently took some of the parking spaces to make new dorms for on campus living. They have no replaced those parking spaces yet. You must get there about an hour earlier to find a parking spot.

The worst thing about my school is that it is very hard to find a job when I was informed that I would be able to find one.

Nicholls could make the classrooms larger. Nicholls still has a lot of old buildings that need to be updated.
