What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?


Before I came to Nicholls State University, I wish I would have known more about all the various opportunities available for me. I knew of a few clubs that I could be a part of, but I discovered so many during the first weeks of school that I had never heard of. I was especially interested in nursing/allied health groups because I am majoring in nursing. I only wish that I would have known about these groups before the semester started so that I could be a part of them.


I wish I had known not to buy my books until the first day of class.


I would have known how important it is to keep up grades and how grades can determine scholarships and success in college. I also wished I known what to expect to make it easier in college. Before college, there was alot of things i did not know which made me nervious about coming but now I am glad I did go to this school.


That dorm rooms are small!


I wish I had known that there really is much to do in Thibidaux.


I wish I had known how hard the nursing program there actually is.


The friendly environment I found in the BCM and the people I've met there.


I've lived near Nicholls my whole life, and I have participated in several academic and extracurricular activities that have taken place on the campus. I have friends who chose Nicholls and would say how much they loved it, so that helped me confirm my decision to attend Nicholls for my Bachelor's.
